Hole Saw Set

I have several of these type of hole saws but I couldn’t find them when I needed it. This one met my needs and was priced right.

Worked really well for cutting through wood. It cut cleanly without tearing up the edges, and I was able to make multiple holes without it getting excessively hot or feeling like it was struggling. The teeth stayed sharp and the cuts were consistent. Overall, a solid hole saw that did exactly what I needed it to do.

It's a decent hole saw! I ripped through 1/2" plywood to teat it and it cut easy! Time will tell how strong the teeth are and how many uses I'll get out of it but for now, considering the price I'd say I'm content with this item.... Not bad for a twenty!

I picked up this hole saw kit for a few home improvement projects, and it performed very well. The saw cut clean, accurate holes in wood and PVC with very little effort, and it handled the job without any issues.The bi-metal construction feels durable, and the teeth stayed sharp throughout multiple cuts. Installation on the arbor was straightforward, and the saw ran smoothly without excessive vibration.Overall, this is a solid hole saw kit that offers good performance and value for DIY projects and general home use. I'd definitely recommend it.

These whole saws are definitely intended to supplement/replace and existing hole saw setup. I will say that it is not 100% clear in the product listing that no arbor/mandrel and drillbit are included. The listing doesn’t state they’re excluded, but it doesn’t say they’re included either except for showing them in some of the photos.The whole saw itself is very sharp and able to cut holes for door knobs and deadbolts very successfully. It has standard sizing that does fit my existing harbor/mandrel. These to cut the full 1 1/2 inches of depth, which makes them perfect for cutting door knob holes in door slabs. The shark shaped cut outs on the sides are useful in getting out the plug after the cut has been made. Overall, these look like they’ll last to me for a very long time. They are true to size, which in my case is 2 1/8 inches, which is what’s needed for a door knob. You do get two with this set, but I would’ve appreciated an option to get this one and a deep 1 inch holesaw as my second one.

Overall this seems like a heavy duty hole saw bit with sharp teeth that appears as if it will hold up over many years of use. However, I can't actually test it to verify how well it drills a hole.The product description reads "1PC HSS Bi-Metal Hole Saw Kit". I read "kit" in the description, and in my mind, kit means there are several pieces included. The marketing photos also include a photo labeled "How to Assemble." From those clues I assumed that a mandrel was included, but apparently I missed the "1PC" which means it's just 1 piece - the actual cutting tool. This feels like a good quality tool, but the product descriptions confused me.

The most important thing to understand before ordering is that this is only the 4-inch hole saw blade. It does not include the center arbor or mandrel that attaches it to the drill, nor does it include the pilot drill bit that keeps the saw centered. The product photos and the use of the word “kit” could easily leave buyers expecting a complete, ready-to-use assembly, so this omission should be stated much more prominently in the listing.Fortunately, the hole saw fits the standard arbors I already own, including both generic and Milwaukee models. It threads on securely, and the locking-pin holes align correctly. However, compatibility may vary depending on the arbor size and design, so buyers without an existing compatible setup will need to purchase one separately before this can be used.The saw itself appears well made. The teeth arrived sharp and cut cleanly through test 2x6 without difficulty. The shark-shaped side openings are partly decorative, but they also provide useful access for clearing chips and prying out the material plug with a screwdriver.It is advertised for wood, drywall, plastic, aluminum, brass, and thin metal, although I would be cautious about expecting long life when cutting thicker or harder metals. The blade seems appropriate for general household and woodworking projects, but its durability will become clearer after considerably more use.Overall, this is a sharp, reasonably priced 4-inch hole saw that performs well in wood and similar materials.
