My husband wanted this for his air rifle because having a compressor at home is a whole lot more convenient than figuring out where to get it filled every time it needs air.It gets up to the pressure he needs, and having both the pressure gauge and temperature displayed where he can watch them is important since this model doesn't shut itself off when it reaches the desired pressure. You do need to stay with it while it's filling.The built-in cooling fan is great because there's no water bucket or separate cooling setup to fool with. It also comes with what he needs to run it from a regular outlet or connect it to a 12V vehicle battery, so he isn't limited to using it at home.It's compact enough to carry around so my husband is happy with it.

This PCP air compressor is a really powerful little unit. It fills HPA bottles and air rifle tanks quickly, builds pressure up to 4500 PSI / 30 MPa with ease, and the built-in temperature monitor and pressure gauge make it simple to keep an eye on performance while running.However, a few design choices keep it from being a 5-star product. The included fill hose is far too short, which makes positioning awkward when connecting to tanks. Portability is also a bit clunky: running it in or around a vehicle requires hooking up a bulky external power supply converter box plus extra cabling, which creates a lot of loose pieces to haul around.On top of that, it doesn't come with any storage case or carrying bag to keep the compressor, transformer brick, cables, and extra filter media organized together in a trunk.Overall, it gets the pumping job done reliably, but a longer hose and an included case would make it much better!

I'm not certain, but most or many of these inexpensive HPA compressors might come from the same few China factories, stamped with different seller names.This one seems like so many of the others. But I'll admit that I was not expecting the volume of this compressor under operation. The power supply cooling fan is a standard (and pretty quiet) electronics fan. But the compressor's cooling fan is small and runs at high RPM's - and it sounds like a little airplane turbofan engine.Unfortunately since this is a manual compressor (like all in this price range), you will be listening to that little turbofan during the duration of the fill. Since you can't set this compressor to a pre-set and let it stop on its own. And since this is a small & light compressor, the air output is nothing to write home about. So depending on the size of the vessel you will be filling, you could be babysitting this jet-engine whining little unit for a while.Goes with the price territory though. The compressor running, minus the turbofan, makes the same pulsating noise as all compressors of this size. And hopefully that turbofan is moving a lot of air (for all of the noise it makes), so the compressor head should remain 'relatively' cool in operation (= longer service life). The instructions say to shut the unit down (from further pumping) and let it cool if it reaches 80 deg C on the built-in temperature gauge. I think for safety and long life I would take the time hit and cool the unit down when it reached 50 or 60 degrees.Says that it is rated to 300 bar (or MPa, as that is what the gauge units are). I personally don't like filling my 300 bar PCPs all the way up, normally stopping at 4,000 psi. In testing this unit so far I actually only filled a Umarex Notos to 3,000 psi (~207 bar) and this little compressor got that job done fast for that little air cylinder.Don't know how long this unit will last - it does come with some repair/replacement parts. These are the kind of units where it might make sense to purchase the extended warranty, if reasonably priced. Nice that it comes with extra cotton filters for the in-line unit, to catch some of the moisture, dirt and perhaps lubricants before they get into your PCP.So seems pretty standard for the genre. AC or DC (car battery) operation for convenience. Kind of slow, but I'm used to much larger compressors which take up a lot more room, use more power and cost many times the price of this unit. But they are faster, can be set to shut off at specific pressures (but you should still monitor the fill), and they are much quieter.At what price speed and quietness?
