HVAC Pipe Insulation Cover 72"x10.2" AC Line Set Sleeve

I covered my HVAC system with this well-made cover I less than 5 minutes. It has a velcro edge to solid seal with plenty if insulation to cover the pipe around the old insulation that i chose to leave on I addition to the this. I bought the camel color which matches the outside of the condo making it aesthetics pleasing. No complaints

Easy to install and covered coils effectively. Due to the way, my Plumber installed the coils I had to cut this and it was easy to cut. Worth the cost as it’s been so hot and sun was shining on exposed coil.

I was a little hesitant to buy this product at first, but I’m glad I did. One of my customers had several mini-split systems installed, and the exposed refrigerant lines had deteriorated over time. The original foam insulation was completely worn away from years of weather exposure, leaving the piping looking terrible.This insulation wrap was surprisingly easy to work with. It wrapped neatly around the lines, looked professional when finished, and gave the installation a much cleaner appearance. It also seems like it will provide much better protection from the elements than the old exposed insulation.My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to include more zip ties in the package. Other than that, I have no complaints.If you’re on the fence like I was, don’t be. This product worked great, and I’d definitely use it again. I’ve attached a video so you can see the finished results.

Gave this 5 stars because the product matches the description. The dimensions match the listing, and the material seems to be as listed. The exterior material seems sturdy and durable. It is easy to cut, and the velcro makes it easy to secure.Note that this is an insulation COVER, it is not intended to be actual insulation. You install your lineset insulation, and ideally wrap that with vinyl tape to keep the insulation around the lineset. Then you install this cover over that, to protect the tape and underlying insulation from degrading over time due to UV exposure, exterior dust & dirt, nawing by critters, etc. There is a reflective inner layer that is probably also a vapor barrier and a woven fabric outer layer.However, this product may or may not work as depicted in the photos at your installation. My linesets leave the outside unit together, with 2 control wires between the linesets and the power about 2" above the linesets. Although my exterior exposure is less than 36", the two linesets are bent at differing radi, and apart from each other. As they reach the wall penetration the power and 2 control wires are between them. However, I can't wrap this cover around all of it because of the differing radi of the linesets, and because the control wires take the shortest path, rather than following the radi of the lineset. Luckily, since this was about 2x as long as I needed, I used the extra cut off piece and the velcro to create a much larger diameter section of cover and was able to wrap that around everything. I had some longer zip ties and used those to cinch it together. Ideally, the entire outside cover material would be such to accept the velcro hook and then you could get this cover tighter and better sealed along the entire exterior length for older installations that were not originally set up to receive a cover.

For writing my review it would have been great if they offered any of their other colors khaki or grey. These are a wonderful easy solution to insulating your AC lines on your mini splits, except I can't for the life of me figure out why in God's name they would make them black? These are for Air conditioning, I live in Florida, it was 99 degrees today, you can fry an egg on the hood of a black car! They should have been white or light grey or khaki. In my case, so I can use them, I will put them on inside out so that the silver is facing outward. Not an ideal situation, but what's on there now is corroded so it's better than nothing.

Think of this cover as a "raincoat" for the actual insulation on your mini-split line. It's quite thin, so it's not going to do much to protect the line from either heat or cold.What it will do is cover the foam insulation and keep it from disintegrating as quickly as foam insulation tends to do. it will also serve as protection even if the foam is deteriorating, because everything will be in place under the sleeve.I would have like the Velcro edges to be much wider to allow for more variables in the width of what's underneath the sleeve. Other than that, it serves the purpose mentioned above and is a simple protection addition.
