Pleats are evenly formed, the end caps feel sturdy, and the overall construction looks like it should hold up well through normal shop use. It is also washable and reusable, which should further improve the value as long as it continues to maintain its shape and filtration performance after repeated cleaning. Obviously, long term durability will take some time to determine, but so far I have not seen anything that gives me reason to think it will wear out prematurely.Compatibility is always my biggest concern with aftermarket vacuum filters because saving money does not mean much if the thing does not fit correctly or compromises suction. No problems here. It installed easily, fits properly, and the vacuum performs just as it should. There is nothing particularly exciting about a replacement shop vacuum filter, but there does not need to be. It fits, it filters, and it costs substantially less than the OEM version. At about half the price of the name brand filter, that is an easy win for me.

This is a review for “90304 Filters Kit for Shop Vac Most 5 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaners…” To clarify this is a package that contains a HEPA filter replacement for dry vacuuming and a foam filter for wet applications. These filters are used separately.Although no instructions are included, the filters are installed just like the originals that came with my machine and can be installed within a minute or two. When using the dry filter I recommend pairing with a vacuum bag and a pool skimmer sock filter to massively extend the usable life.I picked this up so I would have a Hepa level filter for dust and fine particles. I also love having an extra so that I can change filters easily and still continue using my shop vacuum.Both filters fit my Vacmaster shop vacuum perfectly, although I did have to use the original Vacmaster cap for the Dry filter as opposed to the one included in the package. They are also a good deal compared to OEM filters. This is especially true if you buy the 2 pack version.I also love the fact that these can be washed, allowing them to get extra clean. I recommend!

This fit my 12 gallon Shop Vac brand vacuum. The material does appear to be washable rather than simple paper, but I haven't tried washing it yet. Take the HEPA claims with a grain of salt, because as far as I know there is no independent certification lab or authority for HEPA filters, either for vacuums or air purifiers; HEPA is just a manufacturer's claim. The plastic cap is included with the filter, in case you are using a cartridge filter for the 1st time. A foam sleeve is also included for wet pickup. I use a bag in my shop vacuum which captures almost all the dust, and a cartridge filter like this for a 2nd level of air filtration, and in case there is a tear in the paper bag. In the photo you can see the old blue filter and how it's quite clean due to the bag, which is also visible inside the vacuum.

I just bought a Craftsman 5 gallon shop vacuum for my garage. In order to clean the OEM filter while continuing using the vacuum, I need the second one. The vacuum user manual indicates that the cartridge filter model number is 08-2566(B). However, this 90304 cartridge filter has the same dimensions (height, outer diameter, and inner diameter) as the OEM cartridge filter. In addition, a form filter is also included for wet purpose, please refer to the attached photos for reference. The build quality of the 90304 filters are as good as the OEM one and easy to install.
