I like the extra height this raised toilet seat adds. It raises the seat enough that I do not have to lower myself down as far when sitting, which makes a noticeable difference for me. My legs feel more relaxed at the higher position.Assembly was easy enough and took me around 20 minutes. There are two ways to install the seat, and most of that time was spent deciding which installation method I wanted to use. The set comes with several pieces and the tools needed for installation, although I did not need to use every included piece for my setup. Once installed, the seat feels sturdy and secure.The seat and lid have a smooth finish that is easy to wipe clean, and I like the slow closing lid.I did realize that my toilet needs the elongated version rather than the round size, so I would choose the elongated model for a better fit on my particular toilet. Even with that, I am happy with the height, sturdiness, and added comfort this raised seat provides.

I finally found the one! I tried a couple of others, but they didn't fit my old, 15 inch high American Standard toilet. American Standard is a larger, round toilet. Wasn't easy to find one to fit it. Check the measurements. I had a portable 4 inch riser, but wanted a lid. This one fit perfectly. This was easy to install myself in just a few minutes. It's very securely on there. Feels very sturdy. Now my toilet doesn't look like it's handicapped! The soft close feature is nice. I added a colorful lid topper, and I'm set.

I had a Kohler product before this and the seat would move around. I was having to screw it back down several times a day. So I ordered this one. The instructions were not very clear and it took me 2 hours to get it installed. AI helped a lot on the Amazon site. Its on and so far, no problems. You really should be clear with your directions. There was 2 plans and I didn't know which to follow. So I went back to the Amazon site and found my answer. It looks like it will hold better than what I had before.

With aging, comes limitations nobody wants to have, but accommodations like this raised toilet seat can make life much easier. I have significant knee problems and find lower toilets difficult to navigate without causing pain when sitting or standing up. This taller seat allows me to sit/stand with less stress on my knees, and much less discomfort. I feel much more balanced and don't need to grab onto something to stabilize myself when standing up after using the toilet. The quality of this hard plastic seat is very good; hopefully it will last a long time. I wish it came in more colors, since my toilet is gold, but the white coordinates with my shower curtain well enough not to look too out of place. Cleaning is easy; I use antibacterial wipes after each use to keep it pristine. Toilet seat prices have increased so much in recent years, but this one is a decent value at $60, especially for something that makes my life much easier. It was easy enough to install, with all parts included, but some of the instructions didn’t seem to apply (saying to adjust buffers that aren't adjustable, for example). I would definitely order another for any elderly relative or friend in need.

The perfect elevated toilet seat for anyone who needs that increased height for a variety of reasons. I've tried a few different raised seats, and this surpasses all the others by far. It is Safe, Secure, Sturdy, Sanitary, solid and mine has the slow close features. It attaches securely to the toilet base at the hinge (obviously at the back of the seat) and has 2 pieces on the underside (toward the front 1 on left and 1 on right) that help it stay securely in place with the front part of the toilet base. It is a solid, secure seat! I LOVE the fact it has its own lid. I absolutely believe in closing the lid before flushing to prevent spread of germs, etc. This toilet solves that problem Perfectly. The slow-close feature is nice for several reasons. It won't fall down on you while cleaning, etc., but for us, it's quiet. My toilet is up against the wall to another bedroom. For some weird reason, that slam when a regular toilet seat accidentally closes too quickly/loudly just seems to amplify right through the wall, disturbing the light sleeper in that bedroom. I Highly Recommend this toilet seat. I feel very safe using it. It feels even safer than a standard toilet seat because of those two "fittings?) on each side toward the front. I think it is very well engineered and well made. It also does clean easily. The lid is quite shiny and, as the seller states, you do have to be careful you don't scratch it, but other than that, it's just about perfect. I have various health issues and really find this seat is the perfect solution for me. The seat is also very comfortable for me. I am 5'6" and 140 lbs. I'm adding this after reading reviews posted by some others who wrote that it wasn't comfortable for them.

The construction of this seat is very solid. The mounting flange and hinge feel strong and was stable. The included mounting hardware is good quality. I didn’t have any trouble installing the seat, but I have experience in home remodeling. The instructions are a bit strange and some users may find them a bit confusing, but it is a standard installation style, so anyone who has installed a toilet seat before should have no trouble with this one.The soft close seat function works well. I found that the opened seat did not want to stay in the open position, and I had to play around with the mounting flange to get it to just stay open. This is do to the thickness and weight of the seat. The hinge mechanism is well designed and has a quick release button that allows you to disconnect the entire seat from the mounting flange with the push of a button located on the underside of the hinge. The button is only accessible with the seat in the open position.I was able to install the seat with my bidet attachment, but it was not a good fit. The bidet itself was under a lot of stress from the seat, and felt like it may break. This was not an issue with the standard seat, and a bidet is an absolute must for me.I felt the seat was not very comfortable. My 5’6” wife hated it. The way the seat is shaped feels like the outside edges are too tall putting pressure on the legs. The added height of the seat was too high. This is a personal preference, but both me and my wife felt the same about the seat. This might work better for taller people, or it just wasn’t right for us. I ended up removing the seat the same day at the request of my wife.Overall, this is not a bad seat. It is well made and all of the components are good quality. This may be an excellent choice for some users but unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me.
