I liked the idea of these bulbs, and was excited to try them out in our hallway. However, one of the bulbs had a subtle, but noticeable strobe - tried turning it on and off, adjusting the brightness/color, but the bulb still strobed. Gave me a terrible headache. I am returning.One of the bulbs did appear to be functioning properly, hence the 3 star review.

Bought these for my grandson’s birthday, it was the one thing he wanted besides cash. He loves how he can control the color. One remote operates both lights. They are a good quality for the money. The brightness is great, and can be adjusted, and the appearance is great, they fit perfectly into the existing can lights that are in the house.

I got these to replace a bulb I have in my bathroom that is several years old and will eventually wear out. But these are not bright enough for that location, so I’m trying to find a better spot for them.Both were tested out. Both work as described. If you want to use them just as a regular lightbulb, put them in your socket. Select what you want and then use your regular on/off Switch to turn them on and off just like a real lightbulb. But if you want to use them for all the other benefits that are built into it, you need the remote controlThe remote allows you to dim the light up or down. It allows you to select from three different white settings. It also allows you to put it on a timer. And it has about 12 different color combinations. It also has a nightlight feature, which was an excellent thing to have in a child’s room. You can set it on nightlight and then you can tell it when to turn off. Just remember that if you’re using the remote and any of these other features, you need to leave the light switch that controls that outlet in the position.They are plastic bulbs, so you don’t have to worry about them shattering.
