OLIXIS 330 Piece Tool Kit.OLIXIS 330 Piece Tool Kit.

This is a review for the OLIXIS 330 Piece Home Repair Tool Kit.You’re receiving a 330 piece tool kit. This kit comes already organized into a black plastic case. The case opens up, and also has a pull out drawer at the bottom. The kit is fairly heavy, and the tools are in molded plastic slots to keep them from falling around. It’s actually really awesome to be able to open the case and immediately know and see where the tool you need is at!There’s also an included list of all the things that are in the tool kit. I leave it inside of the case, to keep it handy. The quality is okay. I mean, it’s probably not the best quality, but for someone like me who is only going to be using a few tools for around the house tasks every now and again, it’s awesome! This is actually my first tool kit, so I’m pretty happy with it. Prior to this I just had a bunch of random tools I kept in a box. All collected from previous relationships. An odd little box of mismatched momentos collecting dust and spiders under the couch. Ah, such is life. But now I have my own set of tools! And I tell you what, to me, this set is just wonderful. To you, maybe not so much.Overall, I’m quite pleased with this kit. Everything is organized, neat, and is easy to store if you’re low on space. And it looks nice.

Good but not the greatest.Good but not the greatest.

This is a very nice and full kit. I removed one star because the wrench included came loose in the box and I cannot get it to fit in its spot no matter what, maybe a defective form for that spot I am not sure. The drawer works nice and I love that it can be compact and put away inside the home for when I don’t want to go to the shed in the cold or heat. But I cannot close it and seal it without removing the one wrench which is very annoying.

Great value for a comprehensive tool kit

When you get an all-you-need kit of any sort, you question the quality of the individual pieces. And while I haven't used them all at this point, the ones I have used function well. My review is assessing how this set as a whole delivers at the price point of $64.98 (current price) not how each tool compares to the quality of buying them individually at a hardware store. This kit contains most of the tools any layperson homeowner would need to do small jobs around the house. Plus, it includes other things I have no idea how to use currently. So I'm not a professional who can truly assess every tool in this box. But the pieces I've used so far to assemble a bookshelf and hang pictures have done the job.I personally love having everything in one organized case that has a handle and can be easily closed up and put away. Before this, I had a mish-mash of tools in a tool bag. In this case, everything has its place and as I mentioned above, it seems to contain everything that a commoner like me would need to do small jobs around the house.Thought was obviously put in to decide what to include and how to lay everything out to fit into its specific section of the case (including snapping into place). For all of these reasons, I think the current price of around $65.00 is really good for the quality of the pieces and the collection of them all together.I'm also considering getting a set for each of my 20-something children who have recently moved out on their own. This would actually be a great gift because young adults in their first place don't really know what they are going to need until they need it. And they are far more likely to be buying assemble-it-yourself furniture and doing DIY projects that will likely make a lot of these tools come in really handy. And as a bonus, it might possibly make them think to call you more often to say thank you.

No hunting for lost tools, they are all right there, neatly stored.

My Husband LOVED it. He still has his big heavy tools for big garage jobs, but for normal things inside our home, this kit has it all, and nothing gets lost, it all stashes away in the box for next project.

All tools needed for everyday home repairs, acceptable quality, bulky case, problem stickersAll t...

This is a value-oriented tool kit that contains pretty much all the tools needed for everyday home repairs. It comes in a blow case that keeps everything organized and in view for easy location. There is a drawer at the bottom of the case that contains plastic boxes that can be used to hold small items such as screws and wall anchors. Some are partially filled to get you started. The quality of the tools isn't top notch but is acceptable for its intended use. I am comfortable using any of the tools to get a small job done. What I Likeo Positive and secure action of channel locks.o Sockets snap on with a detent. Ratchet push button for release. No premature separating.o Smooth ratchet on socket handle. includes socket extensions.o Well chosen variety of tools for many tasks.o Comfortable rubberized handles on most tools.o Heavy duty scissors. Not light duty like office-type scissors.o Wire strippers are sharp and effective.o Tape measure slides out and retracts smoothly.o Box cutter is more substantial than common blister pack cutters. Extra blades included.o Extra space in drawer compartment to add your own small items.Other ConsiderationsThere is a large sticker of origin on the back of the toolbox. It was difficult to remove as it rips when peeled off. I had to spend around 20 minutes scraping the pieces off with a plastic razor blade followed by rubbing alcohol to remove the residue. Not fun. There are several useful electrical tools but no side-cutter (dikes). There is a wire cutter on the needle nose pliers that can be used in a pinch but it is small and not as easy to use as dedicated side-cutters.This toolbox is thick. The drawer adds a third of bulkiness to the box. I would prefer to keep supplies separate from the box (no drawer or a separate one) and have a thinner tool-only profile.Summary CommentsIf you are looking for a value-oriented toolkit for everyday projects around the house, this is a good choice. When you remove the origin labels attached to the back, be prepared for some tedious peeling and scraping.

Solid starter kit with a few minor gripes

This is a really nice set to have around the house for everyday repairs and projects. It covers all your basic needs and honestly goes beyond what most people would need to get started. Obviously you're not going to find specialized tools in here, but for general home repair stuff this has you covered. The tool quality is decent. Not premium by any means, but not cheap junk either. They feel solid enough for regular household use. One thing I really appreciate is that it comes with full length screwdrivers rather than a handle with swappable bits. I much prefer having dedicated screwdrivers and it feels more substantial. The extra accessories thrown in are a nice bonus too, things like wall anchors and zip ties that you'd otherwise have to buy separately. The storage case keeps everything compact and easy to store, which is great. My issue is with the cutouts inside. They aren't perfectly sized for all the tools and I actually had to do a little cutting to get some of them, like the wrench and pliers, to fit properly. That's not something you should have to do with a brand new kit.Related to that, I'm not super confident in how securely the tools are held in place. If you're planning to travel with this or move it around a lot, I'd expect some tools to come loose. It's not a huge deal when it's just sitting in a closet, but it's a bit inconvenient for a new product.Overall it's a great value for what you get. Just don't expect perfection from the case.
