The inside shape feels generous enough for a large colander or a couple of sheet pans when I am dealing with baking mess or vegetable washing. I can fill it part way with warm water and still have space to move bigger items around without overflow.Water leaves the basin quickly once I shut off the tap. The tilt built into the bottom plus the way the grooves are laid out means liquid and small bits head for the drain opening instead of collecting in the center or corners. I spend less time chasing stray water with a cloth. The rounded spots where the sides meet the floor do not trap food the way sharper angles would, so a quick rinse takes care of most residue.
