We recently lost power and finally got a chance to test these out, and they work absolutely great. I’m really glad I got these. We get storms where the power can go out, and having candles like this on hand makes me feel a little more prepared. They come in a pack of eight, so there are plenty to keep in different areas of the house or add to an emergency kit.I’ve only used one so far and it burned for quite a while. I didn’t test it for the full 150 hours advertised, so I can’t say whether it actually lasts that long. While it was burning, I didn’t notice any smoke or odor, and it gave off a nice steady light.The containers feel sturdy and more convenient than wasting my good smelling candles. I also like that they’re unscented since I’m mainly keeping them for emergencies. These are definitely something I plan to always keep on hand, especially during storm season.

I actually timed this candle, and I can confirm it burned for right around the advertised 150 hours, which was really impressive!The wick is easy to light, burns very consistently, and I never had to trim it during the entire burn time. The candle itself is fairly compact, so it’s easy to store in an emergency kit or tuck away in a cabinet without taking up much space.In terms of brightness, I’d compare it to a birthday candle. It’s not bright enough to comfortably read by or cook with unless you get a little creative, but it definitely provides useful light. I put it in front of a mirror, and that reflected enough light to brighten up my bathroom surprisingly well.One thing to keep in mind is that it is susceptible to drafts. My air conditioner kicked on at one point and blew it out, so you’ll want to place it somewhere protected from moving air.Overall, I think this is a great emergency preparedness item. It burns for an incredibly long time, is easy to use, and would absolutely be something I’d rely on during a power outage.

I never knew emergency candles like this were available (8 Pack-150 Hour Emergency Candles). I quickly ordered them, thinking back to the long wait for power to be restored after Katrina. I also like the fact that there are 8 available so I can share with the neighbors if needed.I have flashlights stored all over the house and the old style lanterns now in case of power outage. (I guess one never forgets the trials of a hurricane.) I like that these candles are designed to last so long, are easy to use, and only require common safety sense to use. The pricing for the bundle is good, and for the peace of mind, I am glad I have this bundle.I have a couple stored where they are easy to find and use as needed. I and have a lot more peace of mind because of these candles. These candles are a must have for every home.

Great candles in case of an emergencyGot these to have in case of an emergency. They burned very cleanly with no smoke and no smell. The flame is not big, but it puts out enough light in an emergency, and the fact that the candle will burn for six days straight is pretty amazing.Pros: sturdy plastic bottle that won’t break easily. Burns for six days straight.Cons: not the biggest flame, but big enough for an emergencyThe bottle itself is constructed. Well, it feels very solid, like it would hold up to long-term storage. The candles come fully assembled, all you need to do to set them up is take the cap off, and take the protective cover off of the wick, then light them.They function great, for using them in an emergency. The candle lights, easily, burns cleanly, and the flame does not bounce around, which makes them nice for Emergency Lighting.Overall, very nice candle, to use in an emergency. Will store well long-term.

I am very glad I made this purchase; I didn't know these long burn time candles existed in the first place. They are very convenient to have in your home in case of an emergency and being in a state with a lot of storms and power outages these are fantastic. They do come with a plastic lock cap which you must push both arrow ends in to remove, and I like that it has a rubber plastic wick cover, so the liquid does not spill everywhere. Once you remove both caps be very careful to keep the bottle upright or you will experience spillage. The tiny pop up of the wick ignites quickly but do keep it away from any air blowing as it will go out right away. The fire does stay lit and steady, and I notice there is absolutely no chemical smells or smoke. I initially expected a gasoline type smell but nothing and I am grateful for that. I also like how there are no popping spark noises as the fuel is on. If you burn candles, you'll know what I'm talking about. I am very impressed and glad I have these in my home. We had a power outage the other day for 6 hours and these came in handy. So easy to use great quality and gives you a little piece mind. I Highly recommend and will always be keeping a stock of these when I run out.
