... this item is a very nice heavy duty sconce that would last a long time outside (even in the salt air at our Florida beachfront home) - but that is not how I used them. In our guest bedroom we needed some light on each side of the bed but didn't want to put in some lamps. I ordered this item for that use and as you can see in my image they look great. I like the way the light can be adjusted to be down, up and down, or even on an angle. Getting the electrical to them was a bit of a pain but as you can see it came out really well.

They look really nice, but I didn’t notice that they were wired. That was my mistake and not really one of the manufacturer. I’ll have to send them back. They look to be very great quality though.

These sconces are fairly nice in appearance and quality. They are a fairly small size so they can fit most anywhere. I really like the baffles in the fixtures that you can open or close to adjust the brightness and pattern of the light that comes out of the top and bottom. These are standard light fixtures that mount on an electrical junction box and work off a normal light switch and not with a remote control. Definitely a good set of light fixtures and a good value for the price.

I ordered these to be used as you head down my stairs. The light is pretext because you can adjust it to illuminate in any direction that you like. They are matte black, which I think is a much better choice than making them shiny. They have a classy look with clean lines. I've installed mine indoors, but they are also waterproof and can be installed outside. It's up to you! They were not difficult to install and look great. All parts were included, and everything was strong and made well. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine.
