I was curious about the claims, especially the filtration, but after using it for a while both my wife and I noticed the difference. The water feels cleaner, and our skin and hair do not feel as dry after a shower. That alone was enough to convince us to order a second one for the front bathroom.The installation was about as easy as it gets. If you can screw on a shower head, you can install this. It mounts to a standard wall shower arm, requires no special tools, and the instructions are clear. Delta also has video tutorials if you somehow manage to turn installing a shower filter into an engineering project.One thing I really appreciate is the filter design. According to Delta, it has been third party tested to reduce chlorine and sediment, along with other impurities that can contribute to dry skin and hair. I cannot verify the lab testing myself, but I can say we both noticed a real difference after switching to it.Replacing the filter is just as simple. It is tool free and only takes a couple of minutes. The included extra cartridge is a nice bonus because it gives you roughly a year's worth of filters based on Delta's estimated six month or 10,000 gallon service life. That is one less thing to remember buying later.Delta also backs the system with a 5 year warranty, which is reassuring because they have a solid reputation for standing behind their products.This is one of those products that quietly improves something you use every single day. It installs easily, performs exactly as advertised, and includes an extra filter so you are not immediately shopping for replacements. Five stars from me, and apparently from my wife too, which is usually the harder review to earn.

I'm a loyal Delta customer, and my entire home is outfitted with flat black Delta fixtures from two different product lines. In our master bathroom, we've always dealt with quite a bit of sediment coming through the plumbing, so we decided to install this filter.Since adding it, we've noticed our shower glass staying much cleaner than before, which has been a nice bonus. Installation was straightforward, and it fits perfectly into our existing Delta setup. This has been another well-designed product from a brand we've trusted throughout our home.

There's no question that Delta is a quality brand with a good reputation. Overall, I found this filter to be adequate in removing chlorine, but I wouldn't look for much outside of that. The chlorine may be the only issue people are concerned with, so that might be more than adequate. However, I've been testing numerous filters over the past several weeks and the filter itself winds up in the middle of the pack for me. It's ok, but not transformational when it comes to how my skin feels afterwards. I still feel fairly dried out and not quite as soft as I had hoped. Lotion is not optional.The filter case is an attractive design. I'd give it a 9/10. There are a couple of different designs for this particular model which should meet your needs depending upon shower head height.Changing the filter was a whole different experience though. It was not easy, at all. Once you get the cap off, make sure to use it to wedge in the crevices of the filter to unlock it first by twisting. Their filters actually twist and lock in place. Once you get that figured out, you still need to pull the filter out and that was a nightmare for me. I've never had to wrestle a filter out of its casing the way I did with this one. It's very tight and forms kind of a vacuum seal around the black rubber gasket on the side you don't see. I started to use a very dull knife to wedge it out and that started to leave indentations in the rim so I stopped and went back to using my hands, using the cap, using a towel. . . basically anything that allowed me to grab onto it hard enough to exert a pull that would break it free from the case. I did work it loose finally. It clearly didn't need to be replaced since it is brand new, but it's important to go through the motions so I understand how it works once its installed and what to expect. Let's just say I'm not looking forward to replacing the filter in the next few months.Our water is very hard in the part of the Southwest I live, so we also have a water softener installed. I don't know that this small filter will last the full 6 months. Our values coming into the house are at about 645ppm. Much of the longevity of these filters depends on your water source, so I would take a moment to research your own source. Improvement, yes. Value for money. . . depends on your initial water hardness and what your expectations are. It does look impressive when installed. It' much nicer than those silver pods, but looks only take you so far. I don't think they've overstated what these filters are capable of doing. My loss of star was because it's so darn hard to swap out the filter.

i wasn’t expecting a huge change but this filter really surprised me. the water feels softer and my skin isn’t as dry after showering. the champagne bronze finish looks expensive and matches my hardware perfectly. installation took like two minutes — just twist it in and done. if your water is harsh or you’re tired of that chlorine smell, this helps a lot.

Picked up this Delta Clarifi shower filter in matte black a couple weeks ago and it’s a solid upgrade from the generic shower filters you find here. Installation was quick and straightforward. No leaks, fits perfectly on my rainhead shower arm. The included extra cartridge is a nice bonus for the value. The change out process is a breeze just as stated.Water pressure stays strong while noticeably (honest to God I wouldn't have believed it before) reducing chlorine smell and improving overall water quality. If you have slightly harder water, you should notice an immediate difference with how easy your soap suds up for instance. The matte black finish looks clean and modern too.Great quality from Delta. Highly recommend if you want better shower water without the hassle.

I absolutely love this delta shower filter it looks so modern and the install was super quick and self explanatory. The Clarifi filters help so much with my hard city water I do have a water softener and these filters last me almost a month I am installing a filter whole house now so I’m hopeful these filters will last me even longer. There very well made and the housing is so modern I love them. Great purchase. Very pricy but if you have a modern shower you can’t pass them up. I also have multiple Delta Clarifis filters in all my bathrooms I’m a returned buyer.
