4" Stainless Steel Door Hinges for Exterior & Interior Doors

These hinges look very nice, but when I installed them, the door would not close, about 1/8 inch too big. it as a steel door without that much give so I must return them.

We installed these on our (covered) patio exterior door about a month ago. They replaced our old painted builder-grade one that started to rust. So far, they've held up very well and are very heavy duty. No corrosion or any side of patina so far—they look new still. Very quiet as well. Installation was easy and straightforward with no issues. I would definitely buy these again.

These Hinges are slightly larger than the standard door hinges found on most standard doors. I would categorize these for exterior/entry door use. The leaf thickness is nice and robust stainless steel. The bearings or pins, or both, are highly magnetic, so I'm not sure how rust-resistant these hinges will be in a saltwater environment, which is where I live.The brass finish is good, and the hinges are nice and smooth without load, and I do not anticipate they will be any different with some substantial entry doors.I have some entry doors to replace hinges, and I'll swap these out and see how well they perform and resist corrosion. If they do not perform as expected, I'll update my review accordingly.

Funky pack of stainless steel door hinges for heavier doors. These are a bit unusual in that they are square on one side, rounded on the other. Nice solid hinge mechanism with bearings. They are fairly stiff at first, so if you are using these on a light foam core door you might need to lube them up. These will go on a Hughes artist easel, which are ultra expensive but which use dollar store hardware for some reason. Nice thick plates on them.

These are stainless steel, although they have a coating that makes them look like brass. I suppose a lot of times, for interior installations, brass seems warmer than bare steel. But for exterior installations, if the coating ever wears off, it's stainless steel all the way down.I was startled at how heavy they are. They're big and strong enough to use with pretty much any door you're likely to come across, and there are three of them for really heavy doors.The screws aren't awful, which is typically the case with hinges, especially heavy-duty ones like these. The arrangement of the screw holes seems pretty standard.They don't open and close as smoothly or quietly as hinges that have bearings in them. That could possibly affect their durability -- although I have to say, I don't think I have ever seen a hinge actually wear out. Hinges with bearings don't really cost more, so you might want to consider those. But these won't let you down.
