I purchased this chalk paint to use on a side table that I’m currently working on. I’ll be sanding the table first and then using this paint to give it a fresh new look, so I don’t have pictures to share just yet. I wanted to go ahead and review my initial experience with the paint itself.The first thing I noticed is the consistency. It has a nice thickness to it without seeming difficult to work with, and it provides great coverage. The matte black finish is exactly what I was looking for, and it should give the side table a nice updated, finished appearance once the project is complete.Based on the coverage and thickness of the paint, I have high hopes that it will hold up well once the table is finished and put back into regular use. I also like that chalk paint can give furniture that smooth, classic matte look without having to make the project overly complicated.I’m looking forward to getting the table sanded and painted so I can really put this paint to the test. So far, I’m impressed with the quality and consistency, and it seems like it’s going to work very well for my furniture makeover.I’ll be able to give a better long-term update after the table is finished and has had some time to be used, but my initial impression is definitely positive. The coverage is great, the paint has a nice thickness, and the matte black color is exactly what I wanted!

This Do What I Love chalk paint kit is ideal if you want to have everything you need to right on hand. It comes with a full kit of supplies so that you can get started now. Chalk paint is so easy to do that I will sometimes just grab a piece of furniture off a resale site or tag sale and do it in one day. There are so many online tutorials out there that show how simple the process is, but this kit makes it super easy for the first time user or someone who just wants to grab supplies and go. Also, it’s important to note that this is 16 ounces, which will give you a lot of coverage. When you go to the product page the headline says 16 ounces but the description only says 1 ounce. The paint comes well packaged and will not leak or spill, as it all comes in a box with the roller, brush etc. So far I would say it’s good quality and looks great. I got the black which is a nice neutral tone.

I used the last of my chalk paint on a project and got this as a replacement, because the next project is always on the horizon and it's nice to have a matte white sitting around, chalk or not. The size of this container makes larger projects feel more enticing, you could do quite a lot with 16oz at $2 per ounce. That's a pretty good deal I think. Plus this one comes with all kinds of necessary tools that make a project even easier and the kit even more valuable.I haven't tested yet, so the quality and consistency are unknowns for me, same with adhesion. It shipped just fine and there were no leaks. I think this will probably be a nice kit to have an use when the creative bug hits next.

The product was good, it did the work. The only problem is the amount in the pail was half way of it instead of being a full amount. I didn’t returned because I had opened it and opened the other parts as well.

I used this water based acrylic paint on a few small wood pieces (a side table and some cabinet doors).The paint goes on smoothly with a brush or foam roller. Two coats gave even coverage on most areas, with a few areas needing a third coat. The paint dries fast enough to recoat the same day. The 16 oz size covered roughly 35 sq ft with two coats.The matte finish is soft and even with minimal brush marks when applied carefully.
