Build it filter! This was SIMPLE to put together. Came together quick and easy, does not come with directions, but they are unneeded due to the well built materials and design. We needed a filter for our daughters window during wildfire smoke season. Our AC was broken and the house was too hot to bear keeping windows shut. We got this filter, snapped it together, and were able to have air a fan pull air in through the filter to cool the house at night. This was a serious lifesaver throughout the smoke season.The material is made well, strong and sturdy. There was some glue misses along the way of the straps which caused the filter threads to come apart some, but that didnt affect functionality. I would absolutely stock up on these for future use.

I purchased this filter to build a DIY box fan air purifier for wildfire smoke rather than for a home HVAC system, so I can't comment on how it performs as a furnace filter.The filter arrived partially assembled, and all I had to do was expand it and attach the side pieces. Assembly only took a minute or two and was very straightforward. It matched the listing photos well, and my first impression was that it feels sturdy and well constructed.The pleats are evenly spaced, the frame feels rigid once assembled, and nothing arrived damaged. I specifically chose a MERV 13 filter because that rating is commonly recommended for capturing fine airborne particles, including a significant portion of smoke particles.I haven't had the opportunity to test it during a wildfire smoke event yet, so I can't comment on its long-term performance or airflow. However, based on the construction quality and the MERV 13 rating, I'm optimistic it will be a good choice for my DIY air cleaner.If you're looking for a well-made MERV 13 filter, this one appears to be a solid option based on my initial experience.

I just can't seem to get it right.I live in a mobile home with a central ac unit from interterm. I have tried a few air filters now for central ac, but I just can seem to get the correct one.What I like:The packaging was quite small for such a large air filter/item.I like that the item is sturdy and of good quality.What I don't like:That it did not work with my central ac unitYou have to assemble it, and that is not to hard or bad, but for an item that has to be assembled I believe an opportunity was missed here to have an adjustable air filter that could be assembled to different sizes and lengths.
