Decent lock latch for outward opening doorsDecent lock latch for outward opening doors

[Color: Silver, Number of Items: 1, Color: Silver, Number of Items: 1]
This lock mounts on the inside door and door frame of outward opening doors. It is not as thick or as hefty as deadbolt locks or high security locks. Although it is made from strong material, it is not hefty. The selling-point of this lock is that it is compact and can fit in any outward-opening door situation. This is an excellent lock for child safety. If mounted high, this would prevent kids from opening the door and getting outside. It is easy to install and the design leaves plenty of margin for error, just in case you don't have perfect alignment. The lock is easy to engage and disengage. The lock is ratcheted so that it won't accidentally nudge into a locked (or unlocked) position. You do have to turn a knob to engage or disengage the lock. This may be tough for people with bad arthritis, but it is smooth to turn.

Simple, Sturdy, and Easy to Install

[Color: Black, Number of Items: 1]
This latch is a nice solution if you need a simple privacy or security lock for a barn door, gate, cabinet, or similar project. The zinc alloy construction feels solid, and the black finish gives it a clean look that matches most hardware.Installation was straightforward with the included screws. I like that it can be mounted in either a 90° or 180° configuration, and it works for both left- and right-hand installations. The latch rotates smoothly and stays securely in place once locked.Pros* Solid metal construction with a durable finish.* Supports both 90° and 180° installation.* Easy to install with included hardware.* Smooth operation and secure locking.Cons* Works as a privacy/security latch only, not a keyed lock.* Careful alignment is important during installation.Overall: A well-made, versatile latch that is easy to install and works exactly as expected. It’s a good value for anyone needing a simple and reliable locking solution for a barn door, cabinet, or gate.

High Quality, Smart Design

[Color: Black, Number of Items: 1]
I received this sliding security latch a few days ago, and I'm really happy with it. It's solid, heavy-duty, and feels like it's built to last. The finish has a rich, quality look that doesn't feel cheap.Installation was quick and straightforward. It comes with the screws and drywall anchors you need, and each piece is secured with just two screws. Just be sure to line everything up before fully tightening the screws. My favorite feature is how versatile it is. It can be installed in either a 90-degree or 180-degree configuration, and the latch can be set up to open to either the left or the right. That gives you plenty of options for different installations.Overall, this is a sturdy, well-made latch that's easy to install and looks great once it's in place. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quality sliding security latch. Please Note: I rate every item as if I am explaining to friends if a product is a decent buy or not. The best feature on my barn doorThe best feature on my barn door

[Color: Black, Number of Items: 1, Color: Black, Number of Items: 1]
Our home came with a couple of barn doors that I really didn't like - they're heavy, kind of impractical and would slowly open throughout the day because they weren't perfectly level. I ordered one of these locks as a last-ditch effort to make the worst offender work. I'm happy to say my opinion on the door it's installed on has improved greatly! The build quality on this lock is fantastic; it's solid cast iron and honestly probably more sturdy than the rail the door is installed on. It came with two anchors and screws for both the latch and the base. The finish of the lock is a pebbled black metal, and it looks really great up against the other black hardware on the door. There are a few ways you can install this lock depending on which side you need to access it from. If you install it on the back, you can put the base on the door and the latch inside the doorframe, or vice versa. The base has slots for the latch to fit into it in 3 orientations, so connecting the two pieces at a 90 degree angle is just as secure as connecting them side-by-side. The problem with installing on the back of the door is if your door is super close to the wall, you might not have enough clearance to open it fully with the hardware attached. Be sure to check the gap between the door and the wall in this case and compare the measurements with those in the listing. The second way you can mount the lock (and the way I did it) is on the front of the door. My door frame has trim around it, so the only way I was able to make it work was to put the latch on the door and the base on the wall just past the frame. You could probably install it with the latch on the wall if you have a very small amount of clearance between the door and the wall, but that didn't end up working for my application. I don't find the latch to be particularly intrusive as it is, and the 90 degree angled connection is plenty secure. My door is super heavy (solid wood) and we've had no issues with anything coming loose or unlatched.I was genuinely considering removing both of my barn doors before I got this lock; now I'm looking forward to buying a second lock so I can latch my other door. Would absolutely recommend this lock!

Problem solving at a fair price

[Color: Silver, Number of Items: 1]
The Iniret door lock is high-quality hardware. The zinc alloy is almost a brush finish, and it compliments almost any interior decor without being the focal point. The finish also doesn't show fingerprints or smudges and cleans easily. The mechanism is smooth to operate and aligns with the secondary piece without any interference. The included screws make for an almost effortless installation process. Once installed, they are secure in place, and they maintain security when engaged. I highly recommend the Iniret gate latch hardware. Excellent hardware for a small price ($10 at time of review)
