They can easily be clamped down with one hand, and provide a surprisingly strong clamping force. As usual with clamps like these, you can flip around the jaws and use them as a spreader instead of a clamp.The real party trick for these clamps comes when you need to clamp something slightly larger. These clamps provide a function where you can flip the static jaw on both of them upside down, and then link the two clamps together using a dovetail joint. This allows them to clamp objects slightly more than twice the size of an individual clamp. Talk about versatility! For their price, these clamps are unbeatable.

If I could give six stars, I would.These are exactly the kind of clamps that end up getting used far more often than you'd expect.They're well made, with the quality I expect from Jorgensen. The trigger works smoothly, allowing you to tighten them one-handed with very little effort, and once they're clamped, they stay put. The release lever is just as easy to operate, making them quick to reposition.These are rated as light-duty clamps, and that's worth keeping in mind. I wouldn't choose them for pulling severely warped boards into alignment or other jobs that require a lot of force. That's not what they're designed for.Where they really shine is everyday woodworking - holding smaller parts together while the glue dries, securing workpieces for light sanding or drilling, or acting as an extra hand during assembly. The pads are a nice touch, and the deep-reach jaws give you a little more flexibility than a standard trigger clamp.They're reliable and easy to use. If you need a pair of light-duty clamps for general woodworking and repair work, these are an excellent choice.

I absolutely do not like plastic clamps. They are inconsistent (ove time) and one drop while under load usually ends with a trip to the trash can. They just don't survive for long in a rough environmentThat being said, these particular clamps do have their use and seem to stay straight and square right up to their load limit - not as strong as, but definitely stiffer/straighter than the (metal) light duty screw-type F-clamps I use occasionally.Gluing up 2 x 1x6's yesterday (11" wide total), I found these to be OK for temporarily clamping while I followed up with proper metal clamps. The one handed operation was nice, but not a big deal for me as I typically use plastic shims to pre-position my works in the clamps before tightening anyway.At $35 for a set of 2, these are a bit pricey. I'm thinking that for $10 more, the 300Lb rated versions are a better value.

I ordered these Jorgensen E-Z Hold 12 inch bar clamps to upgrade over my existing clamps, and after using them on a small project to glue down some lifted laminate on my bathroom cabinet, I'm impressed with what you get for the price.The size is right in that sweet spot for smaller panels, picture frames, and edge gluing where a full-size pipe clamp would be overkill.Build quality is very good, with a sturdy steel bar and a clamp head that doesn't flex or wobble under pressure even when I cranked down.Fit and functionality are both excellent, the sliding jaw moves smoothly along the bar and locks in place without any binding, so you're not fighting the tool to get a good grip on your workpiece.These are easy to use right out of the box, the quick-release trigger lets you reposition the jaw with one hand while holding your project steady with the other. There's no assembly required.Setup is as simple as it gets, just squeeze and clamp. Works great because the pads on the jaws are wide enough to distribute pressure evenly without denting softer woods.For the price, the value here is excellent, you get two solid clamps that perform like clamps costing quite a bit more. This is a 5 star product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing reliable clamps for DIY needs.

I've been using Jorgensen clamps for many years with great success. I have a pair of ratcheting clamps and a whole pile of F-clamps that I use in my wood shop. It's a trusted brand. The American company is now owned by a large conglomerate and manufacturing has been moved to China. Overseas manufacturing is par for the course with most injection molded clamps, including the yellow name-brand clamps sold at the local home store. I have several of those clamps too. Comparing the 2 brands I find them to be very similar in performance such as clamping power, throat depth, versatility, and so on. There are a few differences to note: These clamps have a unique interlocking feature that allows you to double the reach. This is kind of useless if you have larger clamps lying around but it may be helpful in a pinch. The release lever on these is small and tucked out of the way. It takes a deliberate action to hit the small lever. This is good in the way it won't interfere with your hand while clamping, but also bad because releasing is more difficult. I don't much care for the black clamping pads on these clamps - they are not very grippy and they don't attach very firmly to the clamp. I have lost such pads before and these are likely to get lost if you're not careful. The clamping handles are quite small. They are sized similarly to my yellow clamps, but I can only get 3 fingers on them. Overall this is a good quality set of clamps that does a good job of carrying on the Jorgensen brand name. Despite a couple of minor grievances they are squarely on par with my other name brand clamps of this size, and they're a few bucks cheaper. They will definitely see a fair amount of use in my shop.

It's kinda hard to have too many clamps. My photo is a good example. I needed to attach a thin strip where the oak wrap met the angled part of the hood, so precise clamping was needed to get a good seam between the wood pieces and between the wood and the stainless.The new Jorgensen squeezy clamps worked the best. Like all squeezy clamps, they're not the best for super holding power, but they provide enough pressure for most applications. What made them stand out on this project is the length of the pads. I needed precise pressure to get good joining at the two spots, without going too deep or too shallow. The longer pads allowed for angling the placement of the clamp so that the right amount of pressure hit just the right spot. The other ones, the yellow versions, worked, just not to the level of precise pressure that I needed. The Jorgensen screw clamps didn't work as well as the squeezy ones as the small surface area and harder pads made precise placement trickier.I went with the 12-inch version, as you can clamp smaller with a 12-inch, but can't clamp more than 6" with the 6" version. Well, that's not entirely correct. These have a handy option of joining two together to double the clamping width. Try that, yellow clamps! (Oh, and could you yellow clamps stop having your heads fall off at the worst possible moment? It's really annoying).The placement of the clamp release is a bit different than other squeezy clamps and takes just a bit to get used to. Pushing them inward before squeezing takes a bit more pressure than usual, but these may loosen over time.Well designed, practical clamps that have the extra ability to join together to make a longer clamp, or reverse both heads to exert outward force. Highly recommended.
