Strong Wide-Angle Black Light for Parties and Stage Effects

[Number of Items: 1]
This 50W LED black light is built more like a compact floodlight than a decorative novelty lamp, which gives it a useful advantage for parties, stage setups, fluorescent displays, and other applications where broader coverage matters. The 385–400nm wavelength range is designed to make fluorescent and glow-reactive materials stand out, while the 120-degree beam angle helps spread the effect across a wider area rather than concentrating it in a narrow spot. The fixture uses 50 LEDs inside an iron housing and includes an adjustable mounting bracket, a 6-foot power cord, standard plug, and inline on/off switch. That makes positioning straightforward whether it is placed on the floor, mounted to a surface, or aimed toward a wall or display. The IP66-rated housing also adds flexibility for outdoor event setups, provided the electrical connection is protected appropriately.Pros• 50W LED array provides broad black-light coverage for parties, displays, and stage use• 120-degree beam angle helps illuminate a wider area• IP66-rated housing adds flexibility for indoor and outdoor setups• Adjustable bracket, inline switch, and 6-foot cord make positioning and operation convenientCons• Corded operation requires access to a nearby outlet or extension setup• The 385–400nm output produces a visible violet cast in addition to the fluorescent effect• One fixture may not evenly cover a very large venue without additional lightingIn a typical production or event setup, this could be useful for highlighting fluorescent props, posters, costumes, body paint, stage elements, or Halloween decorations. From a production-lighting perspective, the wide beam and adjustable bracket are especially practical because the fixture can be aimed toward a wall, scenic element, or performance area rather than simply functioning as a room accent.Final ThoughtsThis is a practical black light for event decorators, performers, DJs, photographers, filmmakers, or anyone creating a glow-themed environment indoors or outdoors. The 50W output, wide beam, adjustable bracket, weather-resistant housing, and straightforward plug-and-switch design make it more versatile than a small decorative black light. The value comes from getting a relatively powerful, easy-to-position UV-effect fixture that can handle everything from bedrooms and classrooms to parties, stage setups, and outdoor seasonal displays.

Oh, the colors! THE COLORS!!

Puts out a decent amount of glow area for it's size.I was making a game board with glow in the dark features and pieces, and I could not seem to really light them up, so I went looking for a larger light then the LED black lights I had installed in my ceiling fan lights. I spent a few days trying to decide what I wanted when this one's low cost caught my eye (I mean, you really can't beat the price for what this does) and I decided to give it a try.At about 8"L x 3.5"H, this black light seemed small enough do not get in the way too much while doing the job I needed. I also really liked how versatile it was in the many ways I found I could mount it. And it was light enough that I ended up building a light weight holder that I attached the light to, so that I could move it around easily to light up my game boards. After playing with it some I found it actually lit up a fair amount of the room with it's many LEDs and wide angle of effectiveness. When my grandson saw it he immediately hunted down every single item in the house to play with that would glow under the light, and the colors really popped due to the brightness. (50W of LED really does put out more light than I initially thought it would.)The metal housing is simple, but very nicely done, and it moves easily to readjust without being too loose to hold the light in your desired position. It even has mounting holes in the base of the bracket. The unit itself is also waterproof, which I wasn't expecting. Which I imagine would be great for outdoor parties, if you purchased a few units to spread around.Bottom Line: I was really happy with this Black Light unit! It was really bright, solidly built, waterproof, and you got all that at one of the lower pieces I had seen. I would not only highly recommend this light, but I am probably going to buy a few more units myself for my grandson's b-day party!

Bright UV Output Makes Greenhouse Pest Control Much EasierBright UV Output Makes Greenhouse Pest ...

[Number of Items: 1, Number of Items: 1]
We use black lights in our greenhouses to find inchworms and horned caterpillars on our crops. Under UV light, many of them glow bright green, making them surprisingly easy to spot and remove after dark. This light produces strong, even coverage and works much better than trying to search the plants with an ordinary flashlight.Despite its compact size, it puts out enough UV light to cover a good-sized area. It also would work well for glow parties, Halloween displays, fluorescent posters, paint, and other UV-reactive decorations. The metal housing feels sturdy, and the adjustable mounting bracket can also serve as a stand. The long power cord and built-in switch make setup simple, while the IP66 rating is useful in a greenhouse or other potentially damp outdoor location. The main caution is heat. The face and housing become extremely hot during operation, so it should be positioned before turning it on and mounted where children, pets, plants, and flammable materials cannot touch it. The bracket remains considerably cooler and provides a secure way to aim the light.Overall, this is a powerful little black light with excellent output for its size. It has been particularly useful for nighttime pest inspections in our greenhouses, but it would be equally effective for parties and holiday decorations.

Very cool and bright UV blacklightVery cool and bright UV blacklight

I ordered this because I wanted a UV light for my hobby and 3D printing room. One of my printers I have customized with neon green parts and wanted them to really pop under a black light. This UV black light works way better than I had thought it would! The brightness that it makes fluorescent and white colored items pop is amazing. I have another smaller battery operated UV light that is nowhere near as bright as this one.I haven’t decided where to mount this one yet. I think it’s going to go in the ceiling, as it is strong enough to light up the entire room. Being an LED light, it doesn’t put out much heat, so I’m not too concerned about that. And it’s small enough to mount over the door without being an eyesore. Also, it doesn’t put a really good job of curing my UV activated resin for craft projects, so I’ll probably get a second one to replace the small UV flashlight I’m currently using.Thins thing costs about the same price as the flashlight, and cure the resin in 1/3 of the time and has a deeper cure, so the value is there for me. Love this light, very cool UV blacklight.

Bright Black Light, But Runs Very HotBright Black Light, But Runs Very Hot

[Number of Items: 1, Number of Items: 1]
This black light does a good job lighting up fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark items. It puts out plenty of light for the space I'm using it in, and it definitely makes neon colors and UV-reactive materials stand out. The long power cord is convenient, and once positioned, it works well for parties, decorations, and other black light effects. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. My biggest concern is how hot this light gets during use. It becomes noticeably hot after being on for a while, which makes me a little uneasy from a safety standpoint. I'm sure that's part of the design, but it's something to be aware of.I also found the metal stand to be extremely tight and difficult to adjust. It takes quite a bit of effort to reposition the light, which can be frustrating if you need to change the angle frequently.Overall, it produces a strong black light effect and gets the job done, but the heat output and stiff stand keep it from being a favorite of mine.
