Two years ago, I purchased a 2 pack of KNOBWELL tulip style privacy knobs for $28.72 to use in a rental remodel. We chose those for the black finish and the price, and were satisfied with the installation/function. They are still operating as expected and the finish still looks good. I chose to go with KNOBWELL again with this 6 pack of black privacy knobs for $75.18. An even better deal per knob and these actually look upscale with the modern flat round type knob. These knobs weigh about 1.15 lb so they are definitely not the heaviest, but the whole reason I considered these knobs was for appearance, function, and price. We are definitely satisfied and would purchase from KNOBWELL again.

First off, that appearance: these doorknobs are different-looking and look great on a white door — the contrast is perfect.The 1/4 turn is really nice; you don't have to turn your wrist too far, and if you know, you know — carpal tunnel folks, this one's for you. The sliding lock mechanism is a nice touch too, and it makes installation a lot easier.The handle's ergonomics are well designed: adjustability to fit most pre-drilled doors, an easy 1/4 turn to open, right- or left-side installation, and an easy-to-operate lock. As for the privacy unlock — instead of that little silver key with the flat end and bent handle that most people lose above the door trim, this one just needs a simple flat object slipped into the slot. I used a coin with no issue.The internals are extremely sturdy — no wobble, no rattle, just solid.Cost per handle is a little more than some others, but you get what you pay for, and with these you're getting more value, hands down.

These black privacy door knobs give bedrooms and bathrooms a clean, updated look without the cost of replacing all the doors. The matte black finish looks modern and pairs nicely with other black hardware. These have a nice matte black finish. But they are builders grade knobs metal knob is a bit thinner still a good functionality knob. When on a budget these are just fine.

This review is for a KNOBWELL six-pack of privacy door knobs. These are a more traditional knob except the edges form more of a car tire than a rounded bicycle tire. The matte black finish looks good.The mechanisms works smoothly. That includes opening the door, pushing the door shut without turning the knob, and operating the locking mechanism. Note that the lock is a turn button, not a press button.The price seems reasonable for others on Amazon, although I was surprised there really wasn't any quantity discount. I haven't bought one in a while locally to know the local prices.If you're replacing a knob, you should only need a Phillips screwdriver. If you're changing the strike plate, you might need a chisel too. If your knob is older, there is a possibility that you need to replace the strike mechanism which might mean a chisel too. Installation on a new door might be a little different.

These are beautiful door knobs. The modern shape and matte black color really stands out. I needed to replace a couple of door knobs, but couldn't find anything to match. And the prices are high at the DIY store for anything more than the cheap basics. I was really happy to find a pack of 6 quality knobs in zinc alloy - less likely to corrode - at a good price. Of course, I've made more work for myself, but it will be worth it. The uniform modern look will be a nice upgrade. No mismatched knobs.

This company has a lot of doorknobs listed on Amazon, and I was quite happy when these privacy lock ones became available on Vine.These are well-made doorknobs, and are simple to install. The package contains everything needed to install them except your hand tools. In a pre-existing doorknob site they would only take a few minutes to put in place. They have a sleek, modern, minimalistic appearance.All that being said, I’m not sure that I like how their flat surface feels in my hand. This part of the knob is just 1” across, and to me feels a bit smallish. That is purely personal preference, but I think that I might lean more toward liking the standard rounded knobs a bit better.This set of 6 doorknobs is priced within what I see as the market range, but a bit more toward the high end than many other fairly similar ones.
