Extremely strong

[Size: 6-Inche Heavy Duty Hooks]
These hooks are large and very sturdy. With almost a 6" wide 'J', these hooks are wide enough to hang to firmly hang most anything - from bicycles to extension ladders to heavy yard equipment. The thick rubberized coating prevents scratches or damage to your stuff. As long as you properly secure them to the wall they should easily hold the rated weight of 180 lbs. At just over $5 each, these are a great buy to keep your storage area clutter free. The expansion bolts that are included are a nice extra to secure the hooks to concrete or cinderblock walls.

Heavy duty hooks!

[Size: 6-Inche Heavy Duty Hooks]
These hooks are very heavy duty. I was expecting a bit of flex in them with the weight I'm putting on them, but they haven't bent or budged in any way.The plasticy coating is nice as it prevents any cables or anything from getting scratched or cut.The bright red look helps easily spot them on my walls which I actually appreciate :)

Nicer than expected!Nicer than expected!

[Size: 6-Inche Heavy Duty Hooks, Size: 6-Inche Heavy Duty Hooks]
This set of 6 heavy duty hooks for the garage that include mounting bolts are just as described in the product photos. These are indeed a "heavy duty" item, and looking at the photos it's hard to gain the perspective that the opening (from the wall side to the outside edge of the hook) is actually nearly 6" gap. And the hooks themselves are a bit over 1" wide and very nicely plastic-covered.The hardware for the mounting is just as heavy duty, although it might be better designed for something a lot more solid than drywall, so if you're going into drywall or a wooden stud then you might be best to look at other options. We were looking for something fairly sturdy to hang e-bikes, which tend to weigh a lot more than a normal pedal bike, and these look to be well up to that task. The current price (a bit over $5 each) isn't a bad deal for these nice looking hooks - once you get them mounted they should definitely get the required job done!

I like to keep things in pristine condition so I absolutely love that these are silicone coated!

Super Sturdy Hooks. They Need Some Tweaks

[Size: 6-Inche Heavy Duty Hooks]
My spouse has accumulated quite the collection of "extra" garden hoses to get water to the drought stressed plants in the yard this year. WAY too many to put on the hose reel and, honestly, not needed every time anyway. These are JUST the trick for all these hoses, plus extension cords and even a couple air hoses. The well-formed flat bar hooks are dip-cushioned and narrow enough to be mounted one above the other on a single stud in the garage...and that's where the problems begin: With a single mounting point, it's super easy for them to swing from side to side. ANOTHER hole - even a small secondary - is required. I managed to get a 3/16 hole through one of the brackets today, further down into the red vinyl cover. Looks messy (burned the vinyl a bit), but I'm sure that with a 1/4" lag bolt in the main hole and just a small sheet metal screw in that second hole, they'll stay straight while still holding those heavy hoses just fine. The provided concrete anchors are useless for anything other than a block wall - they went into the scrap metal bin immediately. They were loose in the box and I don't think that all the parts for all the anchors were there - plan for additional anchors or screws, regardless of wall type.At over $5 each, these hooks aren't a great value and having to buy 6 is a further disadvantage. There is no "bulk discount". Others selling flat-bar (and tubular) hooks here on Amazon offer smaller quantities at a slightly lower per piece price...and MANY already have that 2nd hole.

Super Sturdy!Super Sturdy!

[Size: 6-Inche Heavy Duty Hooks, Size: 6-Inche Heavy Duty Hooks]
These garage hooks are super sturdy! They don’t move at all once installed correctly. I put my hook directly into a stud with a wood screw then slid the hook over the top and tightened the screw down securely. The hooks are great for lots of different items. They would be great to hang up ladders. I used mine to hold a hedge trimmer. This set comes with 6 hooks and drywall fasteners. If you are attaching to wood you will need to get your own wood screws. The price is good for these quality garage hooks. I like the protective coating that will protect items from getting scratched up.
