Farmhouse Semi Flush Mount Ceiling Light

This is a really nice light fixture. It is well made and seems durable. All of the necessary hardware to install the light is included. Installing the light fixture was fairly easy and straight forward. It only took a few minutes to install it on my ceiling. I really like the way the light looks. The rustic metal frame in black looks really nice. I like the open cage design. The way the light shines through it looks really nice. The E26 socket can accept a lot of different light bulbs, which I really like. Different light bulbs can change the look quite a bit.I ordered the light for an entryway, and it works perfectly for that purpose. It is a good option for any smaller space. Overall, I am happy with it. It is a good value for a quality light fixture that looks great.

This is an affordable, no frills upgrade to standard builder grade light fixtures. Installation took about 20 minutes. The fixture has a collar that screws onto the base that holds the shade in place. There is nothing in the spaces between the diagonal cut outs. The black metal material is sturdy and substantial without being overly heavy. It would be so easy to cover this frame with fabric or panels of faux stained glass if you wanted to give a little something extra to it. I happened to really appreciate the simple design of this ceiling light-so much so I’ve ordered a second one to finish my entryway hallway. The bulb is obviously a focal point so I recommend getting a decorative vintage led bulb or a led Edison bulb.

We have been updating our home fixtures from the old style that was prevalent. This fixture came nice evenly finished. No excess pooled paint or slag at any of the joints. It is constructed of welded metal (i don't know the gauge of the stock). Actual metal, not plastic. There is a ceramic light socket which is great for preventing heat transfer. The only plastic is the ring that secures the geodesic shade to the base. If I had my druthers I would suggest that small glass panes be inserted into the shade to make it more beautiful.This was ceiling light was relatively easy to install. It includes standard light fixture mounting bracket (the round type). This was the only bad thing about this light. Pushing wires back through the center hole is always a challenge and I prefer the cross-bar style. Otherwise it is very easy: just remove the old light (if replacing), screw in the mounting bracket, attach the wires (hot, neutral, ground), and use the thumb screws to secure the light to the ceiling. Secure the shade to the base with the threaded ring around the socket. Lastly insert your preferred light bulb.The one star I took off was for two reasons. First, the afore mentioned mounting bracket. The second reason is that the ceramic socket is white, visibly contrasting to the black of the base due to the short collar. I suggest a slightly longer collar to cover the socket to make that contrast less obvious.Otherwise I would certainly recommend this to most homeowners looking to replace plain old outdated lights.

Based on the size and style, I think it's going to look amazing in my home office and will be a nice upgrade from the basic builder-grade light that's currently there.I'll update my review if anything changes after installation, but so far I'm very pleased with the quality and appearance. If it installs as easily as it appears, I think it's going to be a beautiful addition to the room.
