I ordered the Flaspar Dusk to Dawn bulbs for my back porch to help eliminate bugs. Install was super easy, it was just like any other lightbulb. The brightness level was exactly what id hoped for. The appearance is a soft yellow tone and it really does help with the bugs. At night when i let my dog out, bugs would fly in like they were escaping the apocalypse. Since installing the Flaspar Bulb, we havent had that happen, at all. Its a high quality, effective bulb, especially for outdoor use. I would highly recommend this bulb for outdoors, your porch, backyard, etc. It will nearly eliminate the bug parties. 5 out of 5 stars from me!

Replace similar 60 Watt equivalent white light with this.40 Watt equivalent provides the right amount of light.Yellow light hasn't attracted bugs or spiders that weave webs to catch the bugs that would otherwise be attracted.Screw it in and ignore: it turns on and off as needed all by itself.Based on my previous experience plan on needing to replace it in about two and a half years.At $0.30 per KW hour, 12 hours per day, 365 days a year should cost $7.89 per year as opposed to $10.51 per year for a 60 Watt equivalent that uses 8 Watts.That is a savings of $2.63 / year or $6.57 over the life of the bulb.

It inconsistently turned itself off in a socket with a switch.Outdoor use is merely ok as it attracted more bugs. Brightness is great! Value for money is not great. Lifespan seems good but will update if it fails too. Quality control is suspect. I'd find a replacement for this if I can.

I have bulbs like this, that are dusk to dawn lights and help to keep bugs away due to the yellow light. I needed more, so decided to try this specific brand. These bulbs are as I expected, having all the features that they claim to have. These bulbs provide a nice, bright yellow light that doesn't attract bugs. Using these in a exterior light near a home entrance is ideal, as you can leave or enter your home at night and not be surrounded by flying insects or worry that they will come inside when the door is opened.Additionally, these bulbs have a sensor integrated that senses when it gets dark outside and turns on, as well as turns off in the morning when the sun comes out. This feature is super helpful as I can leave my outdoor lights "on" all day and not have to remember to turn the outside lights on or off when it's time, as these bulbs turn in and off when appropriate.Overall, I highly recommend these light bulbs. The price is great and the overall use and function of these make them a necessary product to keep on hand in my home.

I really love dusk to dawn light bulbs. However, I did miss having yellow light bulbs to put out. So, I was thrilled when I came across these yellow dusk to dawn light bulbs. These light bulbs are perfect for so many various reasons. All you have to do is screw in the light bulb and flip your light switch for that it stays on and then the light bulb will do the rest. These light bulbs offer a measure of safety because they turn on and off by themselves, so you don't need to worry any longer about arriving home to a dark porch or patio. Then when you factor in the yellow color and the reduction of bugs being attracted to the light bulb you have a truly great product. I'm very happy with this product and very happy that I found the yellow bug light variety.

These yellow dusk‑to‑dawn bulbs have worked really well on my porch. The photocell sensor turns them on and off automatically, which is convenient, and the yellow light does a great job of reducing the number of bugs that gather around the door. They give off enough brightness to light the area without attracting insects the way regular white bulbs do.The bulbs are lightweight, screw in easily, and the dusk‑to‑dawn feature has been reliable every night. I like that they’re only 6 watts but still bright enough for a porch or patio. Since switching to these, the difference in bug activity has been noticeable — especially around the entryway.For a simple swap that makes evenings outside more comfortable, these are a great option.
