I read the reviews and bought these to hang on our shower glass right outside the shower door. On a smooth surface like glass it certainly does the job. It holds a wet bath sheet (large towel) with no problem. I bought some adhesive hooks for the back of our doors which are smooth paint and those were supposed to hold as much weight as these but failed. It's a suction cup. Use it on a smooth surface and it's great!

I really like these hooks, I turned mine sideways so I can hang a shower cap and hair towel on either side. I have only had it up for about a week. Keep you posted if anything changes.

Clean, simple, and surprisingly sturdy. I ordered these before realizing they’re not ideal for painted walls, but installation was so quick and easy that I decided to try them anyway. They snapped on with a solid hold, but didn’t stay on. My only concern was that removal might scuff the paint, but that didn’t happen it just didn’t stay on a painted wall but on smooth recommended surfaces I think they will be perfect.The matte black finish looks great, the quality looks good too.
