These are 4 very nice looking 4 in wheels. The whole wheel is cast polyurethane and set on what appears to be a 5 mm rivet axle. There is no nut to disassemble. I would have to drill to change or investigate further.1000 lbs capacity would imply 250lbs per wheel. I think the polyurethane casting might break on the thin spokes first. Please be really reasonable on the loading.They do lock but only on rotation. The swivel is always free to move. They do roll and swivel smoothly. Being 4 in, they can handle changes of flooring inside such as tile to carpet, chair runners, room flooring threshold and so forth very well. These are very versatile wells that can be very useful is used responsibly.These wheels are very well made. They look great and are priced well for their quality. I can see many uses for these but be careful on load weight.

These are substantial casters. The first thing I noticed was the weight and thickness of the hardware compared with the little utility casters I've used on lighter carts. They feel appropriate for a workbench or other genuinely heavy piece of equipment.The polyurethane wheels roll smoothly on concrete and don't have that hard plastic clatter you get from cheaper wheels. Swiveling is smooth even with weight on them, and the brakes engage positively without feeling flimsy.The mounting plates are fairly large, so check your mounting surface before drilling anything. I also wouldn't put much faith in any 1,000 lb rating unless the structure they're attached to can handle it too—the caster is only one part of that equation.For a heavy shop cart or workbench, these are exactly the type of wheels I'd use.

This review is in regards to the 4 inch size.It’s hard to know the true weight capacity of these wheels. The listing alternately makes 3 different weight claims (1000, 1200, 2400lbs); I don’t believe any of them.These attractive wheels are made entirely of Polyurethane; even the spokes!Polyurethane is not usually formulated to be UV-resistant. Regardless of whether your intended use would involve sun exposure or no; all plastics age eventually and become more brittle. In this case, that could result in a catastrophic faliure in the spokes, some time down the roadThe foot-activated lock lever is also made of plastic, albeit rib-reinforced. The lever works well but the stopping action on the wheel is of only moderate strengthThe ball bearings are very exposed and one or more are missing from one of the wheels in my batch of 4.Despite all these critiques, I actually LIKE these wheels.They’re a great price for large diameter medium duty wheels and appropriate for cleanish indoor environments with fairly level floors.They look great and the nice large wheels roll easily over tile and carpet. They have a slightly rubbery ‘give’ despite being a firm plastic.However, considering the loose ball bearings/missing bearings and lightweight design with plastic spokes, I’d personally be comfortable with only loading these to about 80 lbs per wheel.And don’t expect these to last forever.3.5 stars

The Teravon 3 inch clear polyurethane wheels appear to be well constructed. For indoor furniture, workbenches, and mixed surfaces (tile, hardwood, carpet), polyurethane is generally considered the most versatile and floor-friendly choice among the common wheel materials - rubber will degrade faster and nylon/hard plastic is harsh on floors and noisy. The polyurethane wheels give you the best of both world - they glide smoothly and last longer. The wheels come with screws and washers, so installation should be pretty easy. While there are other polyurethane wheel for a bit cheaper, these are clear, giving them a much nicer appearance. Another difference of the cheaper wheels is the brakes lock both the wheel and the caster, while these brakes only lock the wheels, but I'm not sure what the advantage is of locking the casters. With fall quickly approaching, I plan to use these to make a new rolling base for one of the plants I plan to bring indoors.

This is a set of four identical 2" polyurethane wheel casters. They roll and swivel effortlessly and look quite nice. The small wheel size is ideally suited for items where the additional height should be minimal, but the disadvantage of small wheels is that they are less ideal for very uneven floors.Each has a brake made from black spring steel and the entire brake mechanism is just snapped into recesses of the main body. Hopefully, they will stay in place.The main complaint is with the included mounting hardware. The screws and washers are supposed to be contained in a small plastic bag, but that was ripped and the hardware was scattered all over the box. More seriously, these are the WRONG screws! The four holes on each caster have a diameter of about 4.2mm, but the included screws have a diameter at the thread of about 5mm and it is impossible to fit them through the holes. Completely useless! Fortunately, most household probably have some other screws that will fit because an extra trip to the hardware store would be inconvenient. In my case, these casters will be mounted on a metal rail using machine screws, thus I would not use the included screws anyway.There is no documentation included in the box. For useful information (e.g. the load capacity) we need to go back to the Amazon product page. I typically expect a small leaflet containing mounting guidelines, load capacity, and a company contact.

The transparent polyurethane wheels move whisper quiet over our tile floor and area rug without leaving marks or getting hung up in the grout.The 3-inch size provides a stable base for our medium-duty application, and the integrated lock brakes give reliable stopping power which I rarely ever use but is a great feature keeping essentials securely in place when needed.The build quality of the wheels feels sturdy, and installation is straightforward once you decide how you’re going to use them in your DIY project.Overall, these Teravon 3 Inch Polyurethane Transparent Swivel Casters are a good choice for furniture, carts, or workstations that need both mobility and stability. I ordered these casters for an upcoming mobile cabinet project in my workshop.My first impression is that these are very nice casters. The transparent polyurethane wheels feel harder and more substantial than some of the softer casters I’ve used in the past. I also really like the clear wheels because they don’t leave the black marks on the floor that I’ve experienced with some black rubber casters.Another feature I specifically wanted was a brake on all four wheels. I want the cabinet to stay put once I have it positioned, and the brakes on these work extremely well. The metal brake tab presses firmly enough against the polyurethane wheel to prevent it from moving, but it doesn’t appear to dig in deeply enough to cut or damage the wheel surface.The wheels also roll and swivel very smoothly. The bearings are quiet, without the squeaking or roughness I’ve experienced with some inexpensive casters, so they should be a nice fit for a mobile shop cabinet.They’re rated for a combined 700-pound load capacity, which is considerably more than I expect to need for this particular project. I haven’t installed them on the finished cabinet or tested them anywhere near their maximum rated load yet, so I can’t verify that capacity. However, the construction feels substantial and gives me plenty of flexibility if I decide to put heavier tools in the cabinet.Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of these casters based on my testing so far. They roll smoothly and quietly, the brakes hold extremely well, and I especially like the harder transparent polyurethane wheels. They should be an excellent fit for my upcoming workshop project.

They will not mar or damage flooring. I am a great fan of polyurethane caster wheels because in addition to their non-marring characteristics they make little to no noise on floors. The crystal clear wheel design means they will blend in without detracting from the furniture or carts they are installed on. These are the first casters I have used that are clear. All the others are various colors, usually black, but they are all polyurethane except for some steel caster wheels I used on some wood bins I made for use in a garage with a concrete floor. Those steel wheel on concrete are very loud!These Teravon casters have foot-activated brake locks to prevent unintended movement. This set of four supports a total load of 1000 lbs. which is more weight than anything in my house. The robust manufacture and reinforced structure provides very stable support for day-to-day use in the house, basement and garage. Their high-performance ball-bearing swivel head enables effortless 360° steering. They come with full installation hardware for quick DIY installation.These caster wheels can be used an any kind of furniture or other objects you desire to convert to movable objects, however with 4” wheels they will raise the furniture. But experience has taught me that the larger wheels negotiate the transition from hard floors to carpets more easily without any snagging.As I am 73 years old I rather like having many furniture and other items on casters to better utilize and optimize my home. The casters make it so much easier to reconfigure spaces or just move stuff around for better cleaning and vacuuming.These particular casters are destined to replace some 2” casters on a large rolling coffee cart. The casters I originally used did not have the load bearing capacity to accommodate the huge cart with cabinets and the lighter casters are not holding up. These Teravon caster are frankly overkill, but I’d rather have overkill that holds up like a Panzer tank than failing wheels.As for the cost of $29 (recently reduced from $60), that is an extraordinary price for casters of this build quality and reliability.
