I got these panels with intention of using them in a smaller space but decided against it. My concern is in the integrity of the panel once cut, and in maintaining uniform mounting depth once the panel is cut, considering they mount by the grid on the back.The panels themselves are really gorgeous and very well made. The faux stone effect is well done and if you're into a vintage 70's sci-fi set look these are going to excel in any project with this in mind. And I think being used as whole panels with minimal cutting they would be great.My issue is with the mounting surface on the back of the panel. There is a grid with a rather wide footprint. So if you're going to need a 3" x 4" section, and that section falls entirely or partially off that grid, when you mount the piece you're going to be mounting it at a depth lesser than the whole pieces that have grid depth. So for projects where smaller piece are needed, this is going to be a challenge. Maybe some users found a way around it but for my intention, I would be gluing small segments that would not have the same protrusion depth as whole pieces.Just be mindful of the mounting back before purchase and make sure it will work for your project. And if it works, you will have gorgeous faux stone panels that I would expect to last for many years.

Up close, you can tell it’s molded PU foam rather than solid rock, but stepping back into the room gives you that striking stone aesthetic without the weight or cost of real masonry.My main frustration came down to the mounting instructions: I wish they recommend an adhesive and not do a trial and error. Because the listing simply mentions using "standard adhesives or glue" without specifying brand or type, I had to experiment with different heavy-duty construction adhesives on scrap pieces to find one that grabbed the foam backing securely without melting the polyurethane or sliding down the drywall. Once the right adhesive is dialed in, it makes for a fast, dramatic room makeover.

These are large but lightweight with a nice texture overall. I haven’t cut it yet because I’m still deciding whether I want it on a wall or the ceiling. Since it needs to be glued, I’m not sure how well it will hold up over time, and the texture might make cleaning a bit tricky.That said, I really like how it looks when dry‑fitted into place. It has a good visual effect and could work well once installed.
