Quality construction and materials for sure. BUT the blade is much too thick behind the edge so it does poorly in routine cutting tasks. Even after I stropped it, it has trouble performing the proverbial 'paper test'. With the thick steel, if the edge was modified to 12-15 degrees I think it would cut better. The primary task of a good knife is to cut. This knife fails in that reguard. Fix the blade angle and it's a winner...I shouldn't have to do that on my end.

This is a very stout knife. Mine came reasonably sharp out of the box. I own many Sitivien folding and fixed blade knives, and they're all high quality, high value knives!

This is an excellent product, very well made, just like everything I've purchased from this brand. The blade is exceptionally thick—I had never seen a knife with a blade this thick before, and I really like it. It has a well-balanced size: not as large as a kukri, but with a solid, heavy-duty blade that inspires confidence in its strength and durability. Weighing approximately 500 grams, it isn't a particularly lightweight knife, but that added heft makes it well suited for demanding, heavy-duty tasks. Overall, the build quality and sense of durability are outstanding.

Sitivien has done it again. I have yet to get a knife from them not razor sharp and machined with superb quality. The handle fits well in hand for large size hands and does really well at battoning wood.
