2x4s Wood Post End Cap

I thought these would be perfect for some wood chairs we have outside that are taking a beating on the legs due to exposure to moisture but, unfortunately, I didn't take a look at them before I ordered and it turns out I needed something for 1x4 so these won't work for what I intended. I did put one on a scrap 2x4 I found and the fit was perfect - the cap fit well and stayed put. These will, however, work on some wood shelving we have in a very damp garage that's taking its toll on anything in contact with the wood floor. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to order these again for any 2x4 needing a little protection from the elements, or for protecting floor surfaces. I imagine, if they fit my chairs, they'd provide protection from scuffing up our composite decking when moving the chairs so my bad for not measuring first. I will definitely try and find something in a smaller 1x4 size or else I'll be painting on some rubber coating.

Fits perfectly on 2x4, snug so they do not fall off, while at the same time not impossible to put on, although you may need to heat with a hairdryer or place in hot water to make them more pliable. They serve a number of functions. They keep water and pests out and prevent the wood ends from splintering. Prevents furniture from slipping. I got these end caps to plug up some pipes on the bottom of my carport cover. They fit great and keep any kind of critters from coming inside the pipes. I can also use these on the end of table legs and other applications as well. They're very well made with a nice thick material. They are also pliable enough to use on your application. They have a great grip especially around the table legs and the black color makes it look nice and of good quality.

I made some tables for my pool deck out of 2 x 4 wood. The post end caps fit the 2 x 4 perfectly and now the legs are protected from all the water on the ground around the pool. The legs will not get scratched up and the appearance is real nice. The rubber caps slide on and adhere to the end of the 2 x 4. Very easy to install it took about 2 minutes to install 4 on the table.

I have a home on a small agricultural plot. I am slowly setting up.a small farm. I really like the simple wood fixture and furniture aesthetic. So I will be making my own fencing, benches, tables, etc.I think these would be great to add for the ends to be boards. It would give them a more finished look. It would still match with the vibe because it would blend with the wrought iron accessories. This will protect the open ends of the wood from me premature degradation.These are well made. Accurate sized. They slide on easily but firmly. They definitely stay in place. If you are into The farmhouse or vintage industrial look, these will really accent your place.
