Workbench Brackets

We wanted a heavy-duty workbench in our new garage that could handle mounting some equipment on. Our plans didn’t call for these brackets, but when we saw them we quickly added them to our design for extra support. Not only did they provide extra support, they helped make the construction of the workbench pretty easy. So far they have held up well with us mounting two large tools to the workbench, so I don’t foresee any issues in the future. Not only do they provide the extra stability we were looking for, but they make our workbench look very high-end. The black brackets against the wood add a design element we are very pleased with!

These CYGIVC workbench brackets have made building out garage storage and shelving noticeably faster and more precise than trying to eyeball angles with just screws and a square. The 3-way right angle design keeps 2x4 lumber perfectly perpendicular, which took a lot of the guesswork and frustration out of a workbench frame I was putting together for extra storage space.The steel construction feels genuinely sturdy, with enough thickness that the plates don't flex or bend under load once everything is assembled and weighted down with tools or bins. Being pre-drilled saved a meaningful amount of time, since I wasn't measuring and marking each hole individually across four brackets, and everything lined up correctly on the first attempt.For a 4 pack, this gave me enough brackets to fully frame out a small workbench with corner supports left over for a shelving unit I added afterward. The finish on the steel has resisted rust so far, which matters in a garage that isn't fully climate controlled and sees some humidity swings throughout the year.Assembly went together quickly with basic hand tools, and the end result feels solid enough that I'm not worried about the structure shifting or racking over time with regular use. For anyone building garage storage, workbenches, or general 2x4 framing projects, these brackets are a genuinely useful, well-made hardware upgrade.

These brackets are a great option for building a workbench, storage rack, or other DIY projects. They’re made from heavy-duty steel, the welds look clean and solid, and the powder-coated finish is evenly applied without any noticeable flaws.Once assembled, these should make a bench that’s sturdy enough to last for years, and the brackets themselves feel like they’ll outlast the wood they’re attached to. I really like these brackets. They are very strong and well put together. Two quick comments before I share how I used them. If you have a lower shelf to your workbench, you need a second set for that level. If you use them one way now and another way later, they repurpose very well. You can use them in more ways than shown in the pictures, put your creative engineer's hat on. Even with just 4 corners, they resist allowing your legs to move diagonally - I added diagonals, but only because of the weight I was going to hold. They are easy to use and worth the price. The standard 2x4s from the lumber yard are easy to slide with a bit of room and with the supplied bolts fit very snuggly.Now for my unplanned use - the workbench will come later. You will see my garage floor before is full of premium pine boards taking up most of the floor so I needed a way to store my many 14 foot pine boards along with a bunch of cull lumber used to transport the product keeping it pristine. In the after pic, you will see my floor is mostly available again. I bought several 8 foot 2x4s from Home Depot in their cull lumber pile (70% off). I built the four corners with the pieces going into each bracket leaving the legs tall so I could create a high bar to hold wood. I realized that the 8 foot span was too far to hold all the wood without sagging so I added a middle support to each of the three levels. The whole system is very stable and I don't see any bowing in the boards stored.

These workbench backets are great! This kit includes (4) 3 plane brackets, plenty of woodscrews, a pilot bit, and a nutdriver for your cordless tool of choice. The bracket joints are folded and welded, and they're predrilled for the included fasteners. The matte black finish looks great on the brackets and screws with no flaws in the normally visible surfaces.Using these for a typical workbench is simple. Cut your 4 vertical legs, 2 long side legs, 2 short side legs, and screw it all together. Note the way the perpendicular lumber intersects in the brackets so you end up with the finished size you want.Once complete, the brackets hold the 2x4 lumber firmly in place and produce a very solid structure. You can use these for an open frame design, a lower frame with/without shelf, or upper supports for a worktable with top. I made a rebar bending table and used these to stabilize it's legs. This table gets loaded with quite a bit of steel, and I don't need it folding over on me. These brackets installed quickly and perform better than I expected. The legs on this table don't sway or shake when loaded. It's incredibly sturdy. They're much more solid than typical face screwed joints.All in all I'm impressed with these brackets. They're effective, reuseable, and built very well. The increased strength and durability adds more value than cost. 5 stars. Great product!

Ten bucks a piece? Worth it? Well, they are pretty solid connectors and they save a ton of time. Plus, you can break down and rebuild super easily. I would say yes, they are worth the price for me. Slapping a bench together this quickly is so nice. When that particular bench or table is no longer needed or the wood needs replacing, it is a quick break down and rebuild and off you go. So nice.They are well made and my initial use is indoors, so I can't comment on how they fare outdoors. That being said, I will be ordering more just for that purpose, so I will eventually be coming back here to update this review. I would imagine that rust will be an issue at some point since they are just carbon steel and not (smartly) marketed for outside use. That being said, I am not afraid of rust. At some point, I can just pull them off, sand them down and repaint. This will probably make them last for years since they are not just thin sheet metal.

As I'm in the process of setting up my Workshop, I was very happy to see a set of brackets for building a workbench. However, despite the fact that they are heavy welded steel, there are only four in the set and eight are required to make a full bench. I can quite easily bolt the top side of the bench together without brackets but it would have been very nice to have the stability of all eight corners locked in steel. I will have to decide whether to use these as they are, not use them at all or buy four more to complete the Set. If a company is going to promote a product they need to make sure that the customer can use them in the manner intended. I very much wanted to make my table saw bench with solid steel reinforcement. The dimensions and construction seem to be spot on so there's a good chance they'll still get used. I only subtracted one star as the product seems to do what it promises. The price for a set of four at $10 each seemed pretty reasonable to me especially since screws are included in the package.

CYGIVC Workbench Brackets Kit Are suited to fit 2x4s perfectly inside the framed box. The materials used are heavy duty metal that is strong enough to withstand the weight of the frame and top. The only thing that I didn’t like about the brackets was the welds. They are pronounced, and can be seen from a distance. The welds have missed spot along the joints, and then the majority is so thin that I can see a crack where the metal meets. It looks as if the welds were cleaned up at all they just painted over with hopes of not noticing. I think they need a bit more time spent on the cleanup of those edges. For a work bench it’s not something that I care so much to waste a return on, but it is the first thing my eyes go to. They look sub-par and not worth the cost for the quality. Do they function? Yes, but will they hold up to the extra weight that a work bench can expect to experience remains to be seen. I’d hope the metal alone would keep the legs together with little welds but I can’t say how well.
