This tool bag from Sturdum is big, very sturdy, and has lots of pockets and straps to hold your stuff. I like “soft” canvas tool bags like this, as opposed to a hard metal or plastic tool box. This one has a nice feature, however, that I don’t have on any of my other canvas bags. Specifically, it has a hard PVC base that means that you don’t have to worry about setting the bag down on a wet or dirty surface.Currently, I am not loading tools permanently in this bag. Instead, I am using it whenever I need a specific set of tools for a project away from my workshop. For example, I used it recently to do some repairs on the wing from my grandson’s 600 micro sprint that was located away from my shop. I was easily able to load up a cordless drill, shears, hammer, dolly, rivet tool with rivets, plus several other tools that the bag held without any problem. When I finished this project, I unloaded the bag and it was ready for the next job.As noted, this bag is very heavy duty and I think that it will hold up well to hard use and abuse. The current Amazon selling price of about $48 does not seem unreasonable for something that is very practical for portable tool storage and should last a long time. There is no mention of any warranty for this bag in the description, so I made an inquiry through Amazon. The vendor responded that the bag carries a one year warranty.

The description is accurate, I agree this bag is indeed heavy-duty canvas material and I’m impressed.Purchase price is justified after seeing and using this bag, in addition to the quality canvas the stitching, straps, and zipper are of suitable toughness that leads me to believe I will have this bag in service for a long time. There is a lot of room in the bag, enough to put a hard cased socket set and pack out box inside and zip up and still have room for more items. The molded base can allow you to set the bag down in over 1.5’’ of standing water and keep the contents and canvas dry! Great for when I need to set down on wet grass, mud, or a hydraulic oil ridden catastrophe, just wipe the base clean with a rag when your done. Plenty of compartments in and out, an external strap with buckle can hold a cord, rope, or coiled up air hose. Has been very handy for electrical, plumbing, and equipment repairs in various locations on site, I toss what I think I will need in the bag for a certain task and I’m set. Not an issue to me, but since being in light rain this morning the canvas has a spotted look now? If your looking for a better built bag this is one of the nicest I have had, mechanic approved.

This is the same style and layout as my 15 year old Stanley bag which has held up extremely well for almost two decades. And this bag is built the same way with some additional reinforcements and features. It is slightly larger and the pockets and everything else are also slightly larger. There is MOLLE straps on the ends where you could strap additional items or organizers. And there is a tape loop on the outside of it. Everything on this tool bag is stitched well and is strong... I have no doubt this will hold up in a professional environment and will last just as long as my Stanley. The pockets all around make it easy to access your most used items and then the pockets inside keeps everything else organized. The hard pan helps keep it's shape and allows you to set it down inside a home without worrying about tools scratching things. And the shoulder strap helps if you really load it down and need to carry it longer distances. This is a great tool bag, and one of my favorite designs, I should know, I've been using one for the past 15 years. I've tried other tool bags and other designs, but this is the best in my opinion.

I had a canvas bag like shown in the listing where all my tools were sideways and all piled onto each other. It was frustrating since undoubtedly the tool or screwdriver I’m looking for would be at the bottom of the bag and I had to did through the bag to find it. Tools can be sharp and it was not uncommon to stick a finger on something sharp.This bag solves all my tool problems! It is huge so I need to be careful that I don’t overdo the load but if I need to take extra tools to the cabin or to help my kids get something done I will pack it all in one bag. The beauty is that the outside and inside pockets will allow me to put similar tools like wrenches, screwdrivers and chisels upright in one pocket so they can be easily found and selected. No more need to shake the assortment of tools laying horizontally in the bag. And that frees up the huge center space for my assortment of battery operated tools like drivers, saws and lights.The heavy duty canvas looks like it is commercial grade and will likely outlast me. The bottom is heavy, thick plastic that will keep any dampness from setting this bag on a cement floor or on plain dirt from wicking up into the tools. I like the two sturdy grab handles made from heavy duty webbing and will certainly find the web shoulder strap handy. Out of the box, the canvas is somewhat stiff because of its thickness but with use I expect it will loosen up. I especially like the external pockets for my most commonly used tools or as a quick place to put a tool so it doesn’t get lost in the took workplace clutter. I wish it had a nameplate card slot so, if lost, it could be returned but I’ll remedy that defect with a sharpie marker.
