Updating the electrical and lighting setups at the new rental property on Hillcrest Avenue means looking for efficient components that streamline installation. I picked up this 2-in-1 LED driver and dimmer switch because combining the low-voltage driver and the wall switch into a single unit is a genuinely nice, compact design concept. However, the physical execution has a few noticeable drawbacks.A Compact Design with Installation CaveatsWhile the combined unit is certainly more compact than hiding a separate driver in a ceiling canopy or wall cavity, you still need to be prepared with the right infrastructure. You will absolutely need a full 2-inch deep electrical box to ensure you have enough physical room to safely house the wire connections behind the unit. Additionally, the wire nuts included in the package are incredibly cheap, so plan on bringing your own reliable connectors to ensure a secure, safe installation.Disappointing Tactile FeedbackEvaluating the physical interface through the lens of my daily product design work at Isolate IT, the mechanical execution of the switch leaves a lot to be desired. The actual switch action is surprisingly loud with a harsh click. Furthermore, both the primary switch mechanism and the sliding dimmer function feel far too cheap and plasticky given the price point of the unit. You expect a much smoother, heavier, and higher-quality tactile response from a specialized, integrated fixture like this.Final ThoughtsOverall, the all-in-one design is a great space-saving idea that significantly simplifies low-voltage LED wiring by eliminating the need for remote drivers. If you have a deep enough electrical box to accommodate the wiring and don't mind the loud, somewhat cheap tactile feel of the switch interface, it is a highly functional component that effectively gets the job done.

This LED driver and dimmer switch is a great solution for upgrading lighting without taking up extra space. I love that it works with both 12V and 24V systems, making it versatile for different projects. The included wall plate gives it a clean, finished look, and the dimming feature makes it easy to adjust the lighting to the perfect brightness. It feels well-designed, reliable, and convenient while saving the hassle of needing separate components. A great choice for anyone looking for a simple and efficient lighting upgrade.

I installed this 2-in-1 LED driver and dimmer in my hallway, where space for separate components was limited. The combination of power supply and dimmer in one unit really cleaned up my setup, cutting down on clutter inside the wall box. The slider dims smoothly without any flicker, which I appreciated since some dimmers cause annoying buzzing sounds. It's handy that it works with both 12V and 24V LED systems, giving flexibility if you change your lighting later. The memory function means it remembers my preferred brightness, so I don't have to adjust it every time. Setup was straightforward, and I liked that it supports 3-way control, allowing me to adjust lights from different spots in the house. The provided wall plate fit nicely and looks neat installed. Overall, it handles everyday LED lighting projects well, and I feel confident using it thanks to the safety certifications. This became my go-to for upgrading low-voltage lighting.

This combination 60 watt dimmer and driver is a winner! It eliminates the need for a lot of excess wiring and sure makes installation of a light strip or strips you want to be able to dim so much easier! You get everything you need including a users guide to install the switch except the wall box. Remember to use a deep wall box, at least 2” deep. The switch turns the light(s) on and off. The slide bar to the right of the switch dims or brightens the light(s). The two in one driver feature stops that funky flicker when you adjust a dimmer for a strip(s) and the sleek on / off switch is super modern. There is no “buzzing or humming” which ensures if you install the switch in the bedroom that it will not keep you awake. It comes with a matching stylish face plate.I love the ability to set your dim and the switch memory will save the setting for the next time you turn the lights on.This is a quality product definitely worth the $109.00 price.
