I have dabbled in carpentry pretty much all of my life since adolescence. I've done a few house rebuilds and have built a couple from the ground up. In all that time I was never too concerned about the state of my noggin, that is until it came my time to have brain surgery and have part of my skull removed so the doc could get at the part of my brain he was needing to get to. Then, all of a sudden, the state of my head became a very high priority to me. Enter this hardhat with a full wrap-around brim. I have a nice new tattoo down the back of my skull and the head strap on this hardhat fits around it quite well so it's not rubbing against the scar. The helmet liner is also adjustable in pretty much every direction so it can be adjusted to an exact fit. th e chin strap is also fully adjustable and is padded for extra comfort. The hard hat is made of 100% carbon fiber so it's very light but also very strong. It doesn't sit heavy on my head yet it offers tons of protection from head strikes. It also has a ton of air vents to help keep my head cool. As a bonus it comes with two American flag stickers that can be put pretty much anywhere desired on the helmet. A great way to keep my head safe and comfy enough to wear all day. As another bonus, this hard hat is ANSI Type II approved.

I couldn't be happier with this hard hat. Right out of the box, the carbon-fiber pattern looks sleek and professional, but where it really shines is on the job. It’s impressively lightweight for all day comfort. The foam lining and padded top suspension distribute the weight evenly, so there’s zero neck strain even after an 8–10 hour shift. The side vents make a noticeable difference in airflow on hot days, keeping things cool without sacrificing protection. Wish there were a few more venting slots but adding an external fan helps a lot. Meeting ANSI Type II Class C standards gives great peace of mind for both top and side impact safety. The adjustable ratchet dial makes getting a snug, secure fit quick and easy. This hat is really pretty, the carbon fiber print is appealing and the texture is smooth matte which will be better at hiding scratches than glossy hats. The harness on the inside has multiple vertical adjustment points, they use a twist method to adjust, with an affixed elongated bar that inserts vertically and twists to lock into place horizontally. It was fairly easy to adjust the hat height, though I recommend using one hand to hold the tab with the holes away from the hat interior so you can seat the bar in correctly. The hat comes with Velcro removable padding and a fully adjustable harness with a tightening ratchet at the back of the head. Even at the lowest adjustment point the hat still sat a bit high on my head, so in a zombie apocalypse my frontal lobe is likely vulnerable. The rest of my head will be well protected on the top and sides with this ANSI 2 rated hard hat (ANSI 1 protects just the top of the head). The hat was very comfortable to wear and included adjustable side vents that can be opened or closed easily with a tab on the hat exterior. I did smack it a few times with a hammer while it was on my head and it felt sufficiently durable and padded.Overall, if you’re looking for a spare hard hat to use in disaster/apocypse type scenarios, this one feels like a good bet to me at a decent price.

The helmet feels sturdy, durable, and well constructed without becoming bulky or excessively heavy.The carbon-fiber pattern gives it a sharp, high-quality appearance, and the included reflective American flag decals can be positioned wherever they provide the best visibility. That flexibility adds both personality and practical reflective detail.Considering the comfort, construction, ventilation, fit, appearance, and all-day wearability, this helmet delivers excellent quality and value for both male and female workers with varied head shapes and sizes.Possible Improvement:Including the compatible headlamp would make the package even more complete. However, the helmet itself performs so well that the separately sold light does not take away from my overall experience.Bottom Line:This is an excellent full-brim hard hat that combines dependable protection, impressive durability, superior all-day comfort, and a distinctive carbon-fiber look. The reduced neck and shoulder fatigue alone makes it a major improvement over other hard hats I have worn, and it earns a full five-star rating from me. A great investment all around.
