Having both a set of tin snips and a rotary drill powered cutter, I was very interested to see how this manual sheet metal cutter from MufaKnp would compare. I ordered the larger sized version which is about 13.7 inches long and has some weight to it. It is built tough with two heavy duty 60mm diameter smooth rolling cutting blades that cut from above and below the sheet metal, providing a burr-free clean cut. The cuts are definitely the smoothest compared with my other sheet metal cutters. It does take a little practice, but you can follow a line fairly easily to make long straight cuts. This is not really intended for irregular or curved cuts, so it won't offer any advantages for those types of cuts. I tried this with 28ga galvanized sheet steel and it cut through it with relative ease. It will cut thicker sheets up to 23ga (0.7mm) but additional clamping is required as you have to apply more pulling force to make the cuts. Currently at $59.99 for this larger cutter, it is a good tool for general metalwork but it won't replace your tin snips. Five stars.

I purchased this just have when I needed to cut sheet metal again. Sheers are ok, and I have several, left and right handed, short and long beak. This is at a whole different level. It goes smooth, straight. After you get it started, it just goes awesome. I can see this cut metal as well as certain plastics, like PVC and Lexan or Polycarbonate sheets.Beautiful red color. It maybe lacks instructions or fancy brand name. But so what 😎Recommended. You want one of these.

This is a surprisingly capable manual sheet-metal cutter. Although it is primarily rated for 28-gauge steel, I was able to use it successfully on 26-gauge sheet metal. It does require a considerable amount of pulling force, particularly when cutting material thicker than its primary rating. The sheet should be secured properly, and wearing sturdy work gloves is essential for maintaining a safe grip and protecting your hands from both the tool and the sharp metal edges.Overall, it is an effective option when you need to cut thin sheet metal without electricity, but do not expect effortless operation when working with heavier gauges.

I can't express my overall thankfulness of this metal cutter. It has saved me a lot of work and continues to impress me with it's functionality. It makes cutting sheet metal much safer and the cuts are clean and even. The cutter seems to be well made and is holding up well with multiple uses.

With a very large metal project at hand I needed a quick, easy cutting tool that was very efficient and easy to use. I was so impressed with this unit. First off when it arrived I could feel by the weight of it that it was quality! This is a heavy - duty well built unit. The features continued after testing and then full use of the tool. The fact that this leaves such a clean, closed cut stands near the top of these features. Rather than a saw which opens up the metal and can leave a very rough edge, this rolls it into a seamed cut, making the damage to your material minimum. It is very precise and sharp. Material. is heavy duty, but still manageable up the ladder and on the roof. It is such a sleek, nice looking, and ergonomically pleasant cutter, I could easily forget to mention that it also is a pretty good value as well. I think that the asking price is very reasonable and now seeing the quality, even better of a deal~!

First off, there are no directions. I guess that's fine, except that I've never seen a item like this before. Ok, it seems you put the material inside of it and pull. Fair enough.I wanted to use this to cut a polycarbonate sheeting. It's not thick, the kind that flops around very easily. I was concerned that cutting it with a table saw might make it break in chunks. It was waaay to thick and tough for this tool to even begin cutting it. In the end, turns out my table saw was perfect. Clearly, I was asking too much out of it, but the description does say, "In addition, the tin snips for cutting metal sheet also works on thicker aluminum, copper and plastic panels."Ok, so I next found some metal roofing lying around and while it was able to cut it, the tool is a tad heavy. Way heavier than good old fashioned tin snips, so if you're looking to be accurate, it'll be better to maybe secure it first, which is annoying. You can do it without securing it, but without a doubt, I'll be more accurate with tin snips. It looks super heavy duty, so my guess is as long as you don't leave it out in the rain, you'll have it for years to come. But to me, unless you're specifically doing roofing all day long, I see no point in this.

This tool is well constructed and looks to be able to handle cutting sheet metal pretty well and pretty easily. I was hoping it would also cut corrugated sheet metal, but it appears that it will flatten the corrugated portions of the sheet metal and not cut all the way through without damaging it. Overall, this tool is heavier than you think it is when you take it out of the box and it’s definitely built to last.
