I had someone install it for me but from what I gather this drain was a good fit and installed just fine. It looks great and it functions as expected. The finish is nice and goes pretty well with the oil-rubbed bronze finish on my other fixtures. I like the hair catcher part, although I admit it felt silly to me at first and I was worried it would be annoying. It comes on and off easily so you can wipe it down / clean it, and it does a good job catching hair and other things you don’t want going down the drain.

This matte black pop-up drain assembly offers a stylish, contemporary upgrade over old lift-rod stoppers. Its removable strainer basket traps hair and small items before they can reach your pipes, while the smooth push-button mechanism makes filling and draining your sink effortless. The built-in removable basket catches hair, debris, and lost jewelry before they cause deep pipe blockages. Eliminates outdated, sticking under-sink lift rods with a simple press-to-seal and press-to-open button.

Little misleading. Item description doesn't give the exact length of the pipe just the width. When it arrived, we realized it's way too long to fit in our sink. Perfect fit in width though. Unfortunately, we can't use it.

I come from a family with massive amounts of hair and we all long ago learn to keep those long,ij barbed orange plastic strips on hand to dredge out the hairballs from clogged drains. However, pulling up the hair afterward is a pain in the butt and the barbs on those plastic strips can hurt your hands. So I ordered this as a proactive way to trap the hair that comes off when I shampoo before it becomes a problem. This actually does trap the hair, and it's easy to empty the trap by simply lifting it up and out, then reversing the process to put it back in place. It's also easy to install. I do recommend checking the diameter of your drain and then reading the product specs carefully to make sure this will fit as easily as promised. You should be able just to pop it in and push it down to secure it. The material used to construct this product includes high quality metal and rubber. It's definitely built to last. I consider the price worth it and a lot cheaper than having to call a plumber.

As an Amazon Vine Voice, I received this product at no cost through the Amazon Vine program to provide an honest, unbiased review. I am not paid or compensated by the seller or Amazon, and all opinions expressed here are completely my own. This 4☆ review is for HGHGK pop-up bathroom sink drain with overflow, which was $23.99 at the time of my order. I bought a new drain a few months ago & it didn't like it so now I am going to try this one. This was easy to install. You drop it in from the top and hand tighten from below. The screw part is nice and long. I wish all drains were like this. My sink has an overflow drain and this drain pipe will work for the sink. Once installed I tried it out a couple of times and it allows good water drainage. The filter for this drain sits at the top, exposed. This way anyone who drops debris, hair, nails into the sink can easily see it and clean it off & put it in the waste can. The one I had previously had to be pulled out from inside the drain. If people don't start cleaning up their mess, I'm just going to shut the sink off. Prior to purchasing & installing this, measure your drain hole. If it is 1¼" this will NOT work. For the price paid you are getting a good value for your money.

This pop-up bathroom sink drain is much better than the cheap plastic drain assemblies I have seen at home improvement stores. The stainless steel construction feels far more durable, and it seems like the kind of part that should last a very long time.I also like that this design eliminates the traditional drain rod/stick mechanism. Those older style drain rods can be annoying to install, adjust, clean, or fix when they stop working properly. With this push-style stopper, you just press it to open or close the drain, which is much simpler. The built-in strainer is another good feature because it helps catch hair and debris before it goes down the drain. That should make cleaning easier and reduce the chances of clogs.Overall, this is a solid upgrade over a standard plastic drain assembly. It feels well made, should hold up better long term, and makes the sink drain easier to use and maintain. For $24 this will last a lifetime and is well worth the value.

I recently upgraded my bathroom faucet with one of those sensor/motion activated faucets. To my chagrin, it didn't come with a stem to open and close the stopper. This thing solves that problem as now I have a stopper for this sink again.I've installed other push button stoppers before, but this one is special. It's got a removeable strainer that simply slides over the push button and you just need to pull it up to take it out and clean it. Then it just slides back on like a ring.I like that this also supports overflow and is extremely easy to install. Though the box did not include any silicone caulk, so make sure you have a small tube of that handy.I pretty much was able to hand tighten this thing making it a tool-free install. Easy peasy.
