This is a very good set of ratcheting tie downs. The ratcheting mechanism works smoothly. When it engages, it holds well. The straps are easy to thread through the ratchet piece. The straps are exceptionally long. They are 15 feet, when many are only 10 or so. What I particularly like are that the hooks have a latch. Makes me feel secure knowing they literally can’t slip out. I also like the soft loops included—otherwise the latched hooks would be a potential problem on, say, a handlebar (contrary to one of the product pictures that seems peculiar). As is—as you can see from the second picture—the loops enable secure and tight grip on motorcycle handlebars without risking scratches or scuffs.I’m used to straps that are 1.5 inches wide, so these took some mentally getting used to, but they lasted a journey of 750+ miles holding my two precious bikes onto the trailer with no glitches. The straps are certainly robust enough regardless of width. The extra length actually created some difficulty because I didn’t want to cut them but had so much extra strap I had to lash them down. See third photo. That worked fine but is also something to plan for if you don’t want to cut them.The product info mentions the high reflectivity that isn’t that important to me. I didn’t test the reflectivity from lights at night, but when they are in the daylight in direct sun, they do shine. As the photos show, I have the orange ones and they clearly stand out.I initially was concerned because one strap was flapping around in the wind. See video clip. However, upon inspection, I realized I had not pushed it down all the way. I share this detail so you'll know there is a click if you push them down far enough that tells you they are latched in place (and won’t flop around).

Great Straps!These are built like a tank! I love them. The heavy duty construction is noticeable in several areas. The stitching is crossed and reinforced. The hooks have a nice latch that keeps it from falling loose when you’re strapping by yourself. The straps also have a nice Velcro tie to keep them folded up. That makes wrapping them up easy and keeps them nice and tidy I love this part because keeping them folded tight also keeps them from getting tangled up in my truck storage. The set came with loose loop straps. If you’re wondering what these are for, they’re for securing odd shaped items like a stack of pipes or a roll of carpet or if you need to get underneath something like a couch leg. You can also use these to slightly extend the straps or tie the strap to objects where metal hooks could cause damage. You just wrap it around and put the loop of one end through the loop on the other side. The hooks are rubber coated to help save you stuff. I’m positive that these straps will last a long time and be a trusted source for securing my goods! Hope this helps and good luck with your project!

Straps are nice and neat in a usable bag, there strong and they worked great

The box contained 4 - Ratchet straps, a bag to carry them in and instructions on use. I like the metal pieces have a coating to help prevent corrosion. The stitching is good and resisted tearing or parting when I cranked down on the strap very hard. The plastic handle provided good grip and some comfort to my hand when cranking. The straps are a good general length on a utility trailer or larger. It held down a large 60-inch mower from moving around on a trailer very well. I really like the latches on the hooks. This allows them to grip onto an edge, even upside down while I go to the other side of the trailer to start cranking down on the opposite side of the strap. I believe the price to be high. I am satisfied with this product.

For the price, they are ok.They aren't amazing.What they did well:- reflective ribbons, great at night when towing a load or using in the woods camping.- carry bag, seems like a small idea, but very few ratchet straps come with a bag.- Velcro straps, keep everything tight and easy for quick deployment- 15ft long, super long, comically long for a small load, so I cut down two and used a lighter to melt the cut ends to prevent fraying.What I think needs improved:- release shackel sticks and is often difficult to bring back into operating position.- straps feel cheap and after a week in the bed of my truck, are not UV stable (Shadow lines from where I tied up the slack)- components are thin, light duty, stamped metal that absolutely won't last in a daily use environment!Having said that... The price is decent. They do work with a little persuasion.I'm just not a big fan.

These TrustieX ratchet strap tiedowns are really nice heavy duty, (2200lbs. breaking strength), straps. The webbed strap itself is 1" wide and 15' long. They are made from a thick, sturdy webbing that has a reflective stripe down the length of it. The black webbing appears well made and strong. The ratchet self locking mechanism is also very heavy duty. It has a cushioned latch and release clip that makes it easy on the hand to open and close. The S hooks at the other end of the strap are probably the thing I like the most about this set because there is a built in locking clip. This enables me to hook the S hook onto the tie down in the bed of my truck without worrying that it is going to slide off if I don't keep the strap taunt enough. Instead with this S hook I know it is going to stay exactly where I clipped it. Nothing is sliding off. In addition to the 4 ratchet straps there are other helpful items included that make this set extra useful. There are four Velcro bands that make it easy to wrap up the ratchet straps and store them. Additionally there are also four soft loop ties 12" long that you can use with the S hooks to tie something down in case the S hook doesn't fit properly or if you need something a little bigger to clip the S hook and the strap to. Then to top it off there is a nice storage back pack to keep the four ratchet straps organized and keep all these pieces and parts in one place. That way you know exactly where they are when you need them. I plan to store the backpack in my truck so I always have ratchet straps when I need them. Overall, I am very pleased with the variety of items you receive with this order, the strength and sturdiness of these items, and all the little details that TrustieX paid attention to in order to make these straps not only functional but also super useful. What a fantastic set. I highly recommend TrustieX Ratchet Strap Set and I would purchase this again if I needed more.

This is very good set of (4) ratchet straps that have a lot of versatility. This set has the many improvements when compared to the earlier versions of ratchet/strap sets I’ve purchased in the past. They include: 1) sewn in reflective stitching on the webbing 2) protective rubber coating on most metal pieces 3) ease/intuitive setup of strap/ratchet operation 4) individual velcro strap for securing each of the (4) ratchet/strap combos 5) storage bag (see pic) (Note: the storage bag holds the all the accessories but the bag’s string setup for closing and securing everything inside the bag is terrible. Unless you carry the bag by the strings in the correct position - it is possible the bag can open and spill out all the contents (see pic) - I have experienced this firsthand and I would recommend a zipper for closure instead.This ratchet/strap set is to be used for securing only and never for lifting. I’d recommend reading the “User Manual” it has several good reminders in addition to the operational use of the strap set. The straps have a load limit of 733 lbs. with a break strength of 2300 lbs. - This is a good medium strength set i.e., I would not be pulling a car with this set. The orange color and sewn in reflective stitching add good visibility for both day and night use.The metal hooks (S and locking) have a good rubber covering that can prevent damage, easy to open/close, and adequate size. The hook’s open end is wide enough to place on an auto’s opened window top ledge to use as an attach point (see pic).The ratchet mechanism operates smoothly in all phases. The exposed metal parts may need protective covering to prevent metal to metal contact. Feeding the strap thru the ratchet’s opening is intuitive and easy. Additionally, the ratchet mechanism for tightening and loosening is simple and easy to manipulate.Overall, this is one of the better all inclusive ratchet/strap securing sets that is easy to use, has good retention strength, and IMO is selling at a fair price.
