I should have paid closer attention to the size of the lamp before ordering. This is a beautiful lamp and performs as described, but unfortunately it's just too small for my space. I would advise people to only order this for a small desk or table -- it really becomes overwhelmed visually if you place it on a credenza or a large dresser. The lamp itself has two lights with beautiful glass amber shades. Definitely fits a vintage room well. Assembly was painless and simple. Everything was packaged well and organized. I like that there is a dimmer for brighter or dimmer light. I wish this lamp was maybe 25 to 30 percent larger -- it would have been absolutely perfect.

I really like this lamp. It has a nice mid century style with the vintage gold finish and glass shades. It actually came with light bulbs so that was a plus. It only took a few minutes to put together. No instructions were needed.I actually use it as a night light instead of a bedside reading lamp. My bedroom has no windows, so it's extremely dark at night. I've hurt myself more than once trying to find my way around in the dark. I have actually broken my toes more times than I want to admit. I keep this lamp on the floor and use the dimmer to turn it down just enough to light up the floor so I can safely see where I'm walking. It's not bright enough to bother me while I'm sleeping, but it gives me exactly the amount of light I need to see the floor. Kind of like the floor lights in the movie theaters. The dimmable feature is perfect and exactly what I needed. I'm very happy with this lamp and I highly recommend!

I just don't understand the logic sometimes and wonder if the designers actually use these products before they release them. This mid century lamp is actually a beautiful piece. It's very well made and it comes basically assembled. All you have to do is attach the lamp shades. The entire affair is very class looking, attractive and a very good looking accent piece even if you have the lights turned off.What I don't understand is that I have seen a couple of lamps like this where the power/dimmer switch is halfway down the cord. In this case, the switch is about 21 inches from the lamp base and it's at about the halfway point in the cord. If you have the cord hanging over a table with the cord going down to the floor to reach an outlet on a wall, what do you do? Do you have to get down on the floor or reach behind the table every time you want to turn this lamp on or off? What about a large desk that sticks out a good amount from the wall? Do you have to crawl under it to turn the lamp on or off? If you're going to have the switch and dimmer on the cord itself, why can't that switch be closer to the lamp bases like 2-3 inches away instead of hanging halfway down to the floor behind something? It makes zero sense to me.This lamp has a max rating of 40W and cautions against using E12 LED bulb that are more than 3 watts. So, it's not a powerhouse of a light, but that's okay. It adds a little ambience and provides plenty of light in a small area like a desk or night stand. There is stepless dimming available so you can dial the brightness right where you want it and I like that feature on a lamp like this.As mentioned the build quality is good, the lamp is very elegant and attractive, and just for the aesthetics and the build quality alone, I would say that it's a good value for the money at the current price. But I had to ding it one star just for the lack of thought that went into the switch/dimmer. Why not just have that switch in the base itself? I've seen other lamps that have that feature. Is it cheaper to put the switch on the cord? I think it probably is. And if you leave part of the cord on top of the table/desk with that translucent switch so you have it easily accessible, it takes away the otherwise beautiful and elegant aesthetics of this lamp.The textured glass is a nice touch and if you can handle what I talked about with the switch, this is a very nice lamp overall. It just could have been a little better.
