I love this lamp. I labored over where exactly to put it because I wanted it somewhere it would be seen. I ended up with it in my home office because I already have some BDI furniture with a mid-century modern vibe. The lamp stands on three legs of what appears to be solid hardwood - they claim walnut and I don't see any reason not to believe it. A simple metal frame holds the bulb in place and attaches to those legs. You can't really see that metal frame. And then a long, vertical lampshade fits between those legs.It also comes with a unique light bulb, which is about ten inches high or so, that lets the lamp seem to glow from the center without having a bright hot spot. It makes for a nice visual. Also the color temperature is fairly warm. It's not a particularly cheap lamp, clearly, but I don't see any reason to believe it won't last years and years. I got mine for free via the Amazon Vine program but having seen it now, I would have bought it without hesitation. It came in quite a lot of styrofoam packaging, which was a bit annoying and had little specks of foam stuck to the lampshade via static cling until I finally managed to wipe them all away. If nothing else, I think you can be confident that it will arrive undamaged with as much packaging as they use.

Overall, this is a stylish lamp. For nearly $100 (at the time of this review), I think there's definitely room for improvement, though. It was less solid and more wobbly than expected; I had to painstakingly remove little styrofoam balls which were everywhere inside and outside the lamp shade, and I also needed cut out loose threads from the inside, which are visible when you turn the light on. There's still some loose threads and styrofoam I wasn't able to get out. I was initially unhappy with how the lampshade sat in the base crookedly, but found that I could sort of bend the legs gently in place (I guess it's bending the hardware slightly) to fit better against the lampshade. Despite saying bulb not included in the product page, they did include a long tube-shape lightbulb. This provides a nice even wash of light throughout the middle of the lampshade, which looks diffuse and attractive. Good accent/mood lighting. Assembly was straightforward but definitely had to fiddle with the legs to make it sit properly. Despite these problems, I do like the look of the lamp and would purchase another one if it went on sale.

Well, this lamp LOOKS cool but I have “issues” with the one I received. It’s almost as if it was used and returned.Let me explain:Upon opening the box, there was just a HUGE mess; crumbling styrofoam all over the place. I spend a good deal of time vacuuming to clean up before I could even begin putting the lamp together. I had to go through the bags and styrofoam meticulously to retrieve the extra screws, the box with the bulb in it and little screwdriver they provide. The shade I got has a pencil mark on it, some finger sized “dents” in the top edge and some flaws in the shade material. I do understand that it’s supposed to look like woven fabric but the mid-century design is very clean and simple and these flaws are quite obvious. The finger impressions show up very clearly in direct light. I’ve tried to show thee in my pictures. The directions were thrown in the bottom of the box, like an afterthought, and were 2 steps with a diagram and a picture. They don’t specify which direction the wooden legs are attached. You have to look at the picture CAREFULLY because the legs need to be oriented so the slots, where the hardware connects to, are placed so they are ABOVE the high, raised point of the center of the legs. I guessed right so I can’t say what it looks like if you get them upside down but, I’m willing to bet the shade won’t fit properly. As long as you pay attention to that detail, it’s simple to assemble….6 screws. You will have to sort of position the tops of the legs properly after you get it assembled to be sure they fit up against the shade. Make sure you install the bulb before you put on the shade because the material on the shade just can not take being handled a lot.I recommend putting it in a place where it won’t be subject to children or pets because it is very fragile. If it gets knocked over, it’s likely going to have to go in the garbage. It’s an attractive lamp but nowhere near the price they are asking. I would be hard-pressed to give 1/2 of that price.

I got this lamp looking to decorate my room and make it cozier.-It came with instructions, but it was very easy to put together without even looking at them.-the legs are solid wood which I appreciate.-It came with a tall bulb which seems to be malfunctioning, I will use another one.-The cable is nice and long.-it looks chic and it makes the area that I put it in feel cozy and relaxing.-It is very light; make sure to place it where people won’t topple it over.-it came packed in an enormous amount of foam, which kinda went everywhere when I took it out.Overall I really like this lamp, I just think they need to redesign the packaging for it.

This lamp creates a cozy ambience that really warms up a room. It came securely packaged with foam that protects the shade from any type of bending or getting damaged. The legs come secured together, three pieces, and the screws that attach them to the lamp part are screwed into the legs of the lamp. At first I didn't find the screws but realized they were screwed into the legs. After assembling I had to maneuver the legs a bit in order to create the space to drop the shade onto. With a little tweaking i then inserted the light bulb (a long cylindrical bulb that was included). I stuck this in the corner of the room and it is gorgeous.
