The layered design is what sold me. From the side you see the ribbed clear edge and the patterned inner band, which gives more depth than a plain flat fixture. It reads as modern but not trendy. White palette goes with everything we own.

This is a large, bright, dimmable flush mount LED ceiling light. I ordered the white version for a kitchen. Measuring 16” in diameter and emitting 3800 lumens, it is more suitable for larger spaces. For smaller rooms or hallways, a dimmer should be installed to adjust the brightness. When compared with similar flush mount LED lights consider the advantages of this light below:1. Lumens: 38002. Large diameter: 16”3. Acrylic housing is thick, the ribbed and diamond patterned rims glow too.4. Dimmable.5. Color temperature is selectable.Features I liked and additonal technical notes:• Sits flush against ceiling. Large 16” diameter illuminates a large space.• No flicker. No hum, no noise. Instant ON, instant OFF, no delay.• Very bright (is is a bit brighter than two 100W incandescent bulbs).• The entire housing is a large acrylic diffuser: the outer rim has ribbed pattern, the inner rim has small diamond pattern, and a thinner milky round piece on the bottom forms the main diffuser. The acrylic housing glows, but light mostly illuminates from the bottom diffuser. The housing is rigid and not floppy (the thickness of acrylic is about 4.5mm).• No flaws in the molded acrylic housing, no bubbles. Smooth edges.• Soft illumination, no dark spots, thanks to great number of LED’s used in the design.• A selector-switch selects one of five color temperatures, from very warm to very cool. In 2700K setting, the color is almost yellowish, and in 5000K setting the color is very cool white. The selector-switch’s lever is long enough for color temperature selection.• Good safety practices, quality LED board. The surface mount LED board is very well insulated. No conductive component pads or tracks are exposed to touch. The AC wires on the LED board are also very well insulated using high temperature braided tubing. The AC wires are clamped and secured on the mounting base using screws. Although no ground wire is present due to low power consumption, low heat generation, total insulation, and large metallic base, a simple conventional green ground wire would have been nice to enhance the safety even more.• The acrylic housing is removable from the mounting base, which makes the installation very easy. The mounting base had exactly the same hole spacing as the lighting fixture it replaced, so the installation couldn’t have been any easier. Basically, the mounting base directly installs on the AC ceiling box using two screws, that’s all. Once installed, the light body (the acrylic housing) is installed on the base using an “insert” and “twist” action.• Dimmable. I did not test this feature, my kitchen did not have a dimmer switch at the time I wrote the review. The description states the light can be dimmed down to 10%.This flush mount LED light is larger than most other flush mount lights, and it offers features for selecting color temperature and dimming. The price is on the competitive side perhaps because of thick molded acrylic housing and control features. A lower price would make this item even more attractive! Happy with the order.

I’m impressed with this 16-inch LED light. At 3800 lumens, it easily fills my space with bright, clear light, and the CRI90+ color rendering makes a noticeable difference—everything looks natural and sharp. The gold finish gives it a sleek, modern look, and the low-profile design sits nice and flush against the ceiling.I found the installation of this lightweight fixture to be surprisingly quick and easy to an existing ceiling box, after picking up a 4 inch universal light fixture mounting bracket from Amazon. The selectable toggle lets you dial in the color temperature you want (from a warm 2700K to a bright 5000K daylight) before putting on the removable cover. I cannot comment on the fixture’s dimmability feature.I took off one star for two main reasons. First, the fixture does not include a ground wire, which is a bit disappointing for an electrical fixture. This may be because the metal base of the fixture should contact the metal mounting bracket to which the ground supply wire is attached? That would be a good question to pose to a licensed electrician. Second, it seems a bit pricey compared to similar models on the market. The decorative gold frame is an attractive accent, but it seems to be made of a lightweight plastic material.Overall, it is a high-performing light that functions perfectly, but the price tag and lack of a ground wire keep it just shy of a perfect 5 stars. Time will be the true judge of performance and appearance.
