My husband is a chef and he needed a summer coat for a themed event. This coat is truly a high-end coat with a unique style, and a different material texture than any coat I've seen before. The material is soft and not too thick, but not so thin that it's see-through. I will say that we got this for a themed event, which was a spa type of event, and this coat really complemented that spa theme. This coat is probably a bit less utilitarian, and a bit more for looks, but that's my opinion.Fit through his shoulders and chest is professional and clean looking, but also it has a very natural and organic look. He's an XL in most brands and we got an XL and this is perfect. He said the coat is quite comfortable thanks to the fit as well as the material. He more it for a full evening in an outdoor venue and he did not sweat excessively. The durability so far is good; hot washes haven't loosened any stitches. Overall, this is a sharp looking coat made with quality material... a very good value at this price point.

This is a really really nice chef coat that I am so glad to have to use in my home kitchen. The material has that durable thicker cotton feel to it but it's not overly hot, lots of air can get through since its quite baggy as well. I usually wear an XL for T-shirts and ordered the XL for this but I think I probably could have gotten away with a Large. I like how it buttons up on the side and there's an easily accessible small pocket on the back left hip. I'm very happy I can just throw this on over my shirts and not have ot worry about grease splatter ruining my clothes any more

I spent my college years as a cook (I’m not so bold as to call myself a Chef). Whether you are working the fryers, flat top, sandwich, salad or soup station, you are guna get food stains on your clothing. This coat look like it can take staining and still wash up nicely!The cleaning instruction tag is hard to read, but basically wash warm, no bleach, tumble dry with low heat. My suggestion is to line dry if at all possible for a crisp look and greatest longevity.Features I really like are the snap front closure, including a neckline snap if you choose to open the collar slightly (see photo). There are pen pockets on the sleeve and a hip pocket as well. A tab on the back of the collar closes with a snap also. The length of the coat will protect your waist line garment as well.So if you are a REAL Chef and are purchasing kitchen wear for yourself or your Brigade de Cuisine, then this coat deserves serious consideration for that sharp, professional appearance.

This is a terrific Jacket but it does need to be pressed if you don't want wrinkles. It is very heavy and thick, which makes sense in the kitchen when you are working with hot pans, oils, stoves, grills, etc. The seams are good and there were no threads hanging about or anything like that. The snaps work easy and the integrity of the smaps is solid. The jacket looks truly professional but, again, it does need to be pressed if you want that look. The thermometer pocket was not quite big enough for our thermometer but it is useful for pen, small spatulas, wisks etc. The jacket could be used for fun cooking at home or professionally.My wife and I both ordered the same jacket in different sizes and we are happy to have them. We have been cooking together more lately so it makes it kinda fun. This review is for hers. I am 5'9 and 200lbs. I got an XL and it is a bit loose. Than again, I am between a large and XL on most apparel so loose is better. The fit is good and comfortable and allows good movement. Great value for the price.We love them.

This chef coat looks and feels great. It has a great, clean, minimalistic design, and the breeze color looks crisp. The small details like the Chef Works logo and the pen/thermometer holder are nice touches. The coat is easy to button and unbutton. The fabric feels great: light and breathable, while still being protective - I'm curious to see how the minimal structure holds up after a few washes, though.Where I have do dock a point is sizing. I followed Chef Works official sizing table and got myself a medium. Overall, the fit around the torso wasn't bad, but there were a couple issues. First, it's pretty long, better if you have a long torso. For me, it sat too low. Secondly, it restricts a bit your movement around the chest. It's hard to bring your elbows/arms back as it tensions around the chest. You can tell from the official photo that the model doesn't have a lot room to move around the chest.Overall, beautiful jacket with a premium feel but could have been a little better engineered around movement.
