I bought these sconces for my home office because I wanted warmer, more ambient lighting instead of relying on overhead lights or floor lamps, and they work really well for that purpose. The milky white glass gives off a soft, pleasant light and the finish on the glass is evenly applied.The fixture itself is fairly lightweight, which isn’t necessarily a problem once it’s installed, but it does make it feel a little less substantial than I expected at this price point. My biggest issue is the rough unfinished edges on the glass where it attaches to the fixture. I was surprised by how rough they were. I have other lamps and sconces in about the same price range that feel noticeably better finished.I had these installed by a handyman and he had no problems with the installation. Once mounted, they look attractive and give me exactly the warmer ambient lighting I wanted in my office.I’m happy with how they function and look once installed. I just think the price is a little high for the level of finishing and overall quality. If the glass edges were finished more cleanly and the fixture felt a bit more substantial, I’d rate them higher.

I have a pair of sconces that have given up the ghost in my office. I really like milk glass so I got this one and saw that it was a good quality fixture, so I ordered the second one. I'm going to be renovating this room when I finish moving out (Hey! I'm 77 and slow!) I examined the wiring and it is very simple. I will be DIYing the exchange. All the components are there and in one piece. BTW, my Daddy was an Electrician and a Plumber! I have skills!With some good bright LED lights, I ought to be able to land a plane between them!

While this double-light mid-century sconce definitely has a cool, eye-catching design, the actual manufacturing tolerances and material finishes are remarkably poor for this price point.Rough Glass and Safety HazardsMy biggest concern during assembly was the milky white glass globes. They are simply not finished very well. The circular openings where the glass meets the metal fixture are incredibly rough. In fact, tiny shards of glass actually broke off while I was trying to assemble the light, which is both frustrating and a genuine safety hazard.Poor Threads and Cheap HardwareThe metal components aren't much better. The manufacturer included some very cheap mounting hardware—oddly, they threw in two complete sets for some weird reason—and the included instructions are just "okay." More frustratingly, the metal threads on the globe retention parts were machined very poorly. During assembly, one of the retention rings wouldn't screw all the way down and actually jammed tight on the fixture.A Delicate Fix RequiredGrowing up tinkering in an automotive restoration garage in Minneapolis taught me how to handle poorly toleranced parts, but you shouldn't need those skills just to assemble a standard wall sconce. I had to carefully take a pair of pliers and use a very delicate touch to back the jammed part out and fix the threading so the globe would sit securely without shattering the fragile glass.Final ThoughtsWhile the double-light design looks great once it is finally up on the wall, the rough, chipping glass and the jammed, poorly machined metal threads make this fixture feel significantly cheaper than its price tag suggests.
