Was supposed to be able to adjust brightness but that function doesn’t work.

This light is great just make sure you have correct post or transition piece as I used a 4 by 4 base and the light is meant for round post. Really lights up large area.

We have a lamp post out front that stopped working so I got this to try and fix it. It appears to be made very well and felt durable. The paint seems nice and didn't get scuffed up in the couple of weeks I had it out of the box. The base of it slid over our existing pole perfectly and the wires are just your basic 3 to hook up making it easy. Unfortunately for us there seems to be an underground wiring issue so I could not turn it on. I did hook it up to power in the shop and the light lit up the whole room. For the price it seems like a very good deal if you are putting a new one or are just looking for more light for your yard.

Update: This light has vastly increased the lighting in this corner of my backyard. This picture was taken at night and look how bright it is. With the light off it was pitch black. These lampposts have greatly increased the lighting in our once black backyard. The porch lights do not emit enough light to reach the further ares of our yard. It’s a big yard with lots of corners that can be really dark at night. I love the ease of the remote. I can be inside the house and click the on or off button and it instantly powers the light on or off. I don’t have to angle it just right, or hold the clicker. I’m so impressed with how well it works. Original review: We’re preparing to install this lamp post with the help of an electrician, but after inspecting it, I’m impressed with the quality and versatility. The adjustable wattage is a huge plus—you can tailor brightness to your needs while saving energy. The dusk-to-dawn photocell is exactly what we wanted for convenience and security, eliminating the hassle of manual switches. The construction feels durable and weather-resistant, and the 5000K brightness promises crisp, clear illumination. It’s going to add both safety and style to our outdoor space.

I got this light for its' appearance and long-lasting lifespan. We had a heavy base with a hollow tube center stem, which just happened to be the same size as the base of the light, so I used a pvc pipe and connected them together and now it is a stand-alone light that looks like an old streetlamp. I spray painted the pvc tube black, so it all matches and looks like 1 unit. I adjusted the light setting so it was on the "warm" appearance, (3,000 kelvins', which is the lowest setting), and it is still somewhat bright but at least not some harsh bright light setting. Now I just needed to add a power source to the wires, so I drilled a hold in the bottom of the base and ran the power wire through the pvc tube up to the light so you can't see it It is very easy to install, it is just your basic wiring, 3 wires, 1 hot, one neutral and 1 ground. Just wire capped them all and presto!!! the portable streetlamp was on. I used a longer power cord so it can easily plug into any outlet as long as the base is within 10 feet unless you want to add an extension cord to get it greater distance which then makes this light very functional and a great value for the $$$, not to mention almost being a conversational show piece. It definitely grabs your attention. We have some wall Sconce lights on our terrace that almost matches this light, so we are going to add this light to the terrace area near our steps that go up the walkway alongside of the terrace area. It is actually rather pleasant to look at. It took some creative thinking and some re purposing of some material items, but the end result was rather impressive in appearance. This is just what I was hoping for. 5 stars.
