I purchased this clear vinyl tarp for my outdoor patio, and it has exceeded my expectations. The 90% transparency on this clear vinyl tarp is excellent, allowing plenty of natural light to pass through while keeping rain and wind off courtyard furniture or windows. Having rope and zip ties included in the package makes securing it to balconies or pergolas very convenient, and the reinforced rubber corners provide decent protection at the stress points.However, the 8 mil material is quite thin for something marketed as a heavy-duty tarpaulin. It feels more like a standard plastic sheet than a rugged cover, raising some doubts about how well it will withstand severe storms or heavy wind without tearing over time. Additionally, the 0.47-inch aluminum grommets feel a bit lightweight and could easily bend under heavy tension. It works decently for light weather protection or temporary partitions, but is not robust enough for demanding outdoor environments.
