For the price, this is a very large and nice-looking lamp. It puts out a good amount of light and has enough presence that it works well as a substantial light source rather than just an accent lamp. Assembly was also easy and didn’t take much time to get everything together.There are three different light color settings, which gives you some flexibility depending on the type of lighting you prefer. Personally, I found the setting I liked and pretty much leave it there, so I don’t really use the other options. Still, it’s nice to have the choice.My only real criticism is the location of the power switch. This isn’t something unique to this particular lamp, but it’s a trend with far too many lamps these days. The switch is located on the cord rather than on the body of the lamp. In my setup, that means reaching behind my desk every time I want to turn it on or off. I much prefer lamps with a switch somewhere on the lamp itself where it’s immediately accessible.As long as the cord-mounted switch doesn’t bother you, there is a lot to like here. It’s large, gives off plenty of light, assembles easily, and is a good value for the price. I just wish manufacturers would start putting easily accessible switches back on lamps.

I manage furnished student rentals, so I need to provide lamps in multiple rooms and I’m always looking for something that is inexpensive but still looks like I actually put some thought into furnishing the space. These are a great find because they look much more expensive than they actually are.I really like the modern spiral design and the pleated shade. They have a much more upscale, designer look than the price would suggest, and they don’t look like the typical inexpensive rental-property lamp. The size is also nice - at 20 inches, they have enough presence on a nightstand or table without taking over the entire space. They add a little style to the rooms while still being practical.I also like having the dimming and three color-temperature options. That gives students the ability to use a warmer light at night or a brighter light when they’re studying, which is exactly what I want in a furnished rental. I’ve purchased plenty of inexpensive furnishings over the years, and sometimes you can tell immediately where the money was saved. These don’t have that cheap-looking appearance at all. For the price, I think they’re a really good choice when you need multiple attractive lamps without breaking the bank.
