These Tuffguard non-slip stair treads are an excellent product and performed just as I had hoped. The material and overall quality are very comparable to the much more expensive big-name brand version, but at a more attractive price. The pre-cut 6" x 24" strips are convenient and easy to work with, and once applied, they provided excellent adhesion. More importantly, the grip is first-class and provides a very secure, non-slip surface. The black finish looks good, and the treads are a practical solution for adding traction to outdoor steps or other areas where slipping could be a concern. They appear well suited for outdoor use and should hold up well to the elements.Overall, I’m very impressed with these stair treads. If you are looking for high-quality non-slip tape with excellent adhesion and outstanding traction, these are definitely worth considering. I'm pleased with the value for safety. See my attached pics.

The Good:Total Slip Protection: I installed these on my slippery garage wooden stairs, which get the majority of our household foot traffic. They did a fantastic job and made the steps virtually impossible to slip on.Ultra-Strong Adhesive: The backing glue is incredibly powerful and grabs onto wood surfaces instantly. Be very careful during installation...make sure you line it up perfectly before touching it to the step, because it sticks fast and holds tight.Perfect Balance of Grit: The texture provides immense traction and heavy-duty durability without being too harsh or abrasive on bare feet.Adequate Coverage: While you could upgrade to the larger 8"x30" size for full coverage, the 6"x24" treads are realistically plenty since they provide more than enough secure space for your foot to land. The Bad (My Fault):Wish I Had Gotten Longer 8"x24": The pre-cut pieces are highly convenient for standard steps, but I do wish I had just a little bit more length across the stairs. Even then, the 6" version does the job perfectly fine.Final Verdict:These Tuffguard Stair Treads absolutely live up to their brand name. They are incredibly well-made, easy to use, and highly effective at maximizing home safety...especially after coming in with wet shoes with groceries in your hands. Highly recommended!

I ordered this 12-pack of non-slip stair treads to add to my outdoor steps for safety and they worked out very well. My wooden steps have worn down over time and become extremely slick when it rains so I wanted something that would provide a more secure grip. Each tread comes pre-cut at 6 by 24 inches and they fit my steps perfectly. They're black with an 80-grit surface that provides excellent traction. I could immediately feel a difference when walking on the steps because they grip the bottom of my shoes much better.Installation couldn't be easier. They're peel-and-stick so it only takes a few minutes to apply them. The adhesive sticks firmly to my wooden steps and the treads stay flat and smooth without shifting or lifting. They're made from durable, premium-grade material and have a good thickness to them. They don't feel overly thin or flimsy and provide a solid, secure surface underfoot. They're also weather-resistant and resistant to oil and mild acids making them well-suited for outdoor use and other exterior surfaces.Overall, I'm very happy with the quality, adhesion, and performance of these stair treads. They've made my outdoor steps feel much safer, especially in wet conditions. You receive 12 in the pack making them a good value and I would definitely recommend them.

Non-Slip Stair Treads – 12-Pack Pre-Cut 6"x24" Outdoor Anti-Slip Tape | High Traction, Weather-Resistant, Black (6"x24"). This arrived very quickly after placing my order. I have a couple of stairs that people are constantly slipping on in the winters. So I wanted this to be able to put down on those stairs. The waterproof adhesive is very strong. These lay down onto the stairs nicely and they cover the areas and edges where I find people usually seem to slip easiest. It is a very heavy weight grit so it provides a good non dlip surface. It's going to take quite a bit of moisture or ice covering them fully for somebody to be able to slip with these. There are 12 in a package so for me that's actually going to be a couple of years worth of use so I find them to be of a very good value for the money. I am very pleased with this order.

I have one of those decks that never sees a single ray of sunlight, so it tends to "green up" with algae and, whenever we get rain, the entire thing is like something out of Ice Capades. The STAIRS are the worst part, and there's FOUR sets of them, descending onto and then FROM the deck to the yard. I power wash the deck every year but by late summer it's back to being a slimy slippery mess, so when I got a chance to review these Tuffguard Non-Slip Treads I figured these could be the solution to slippery steps! The Tuffguards arrive in a smallish box. I knew they were going to be pre-cut, but I wasn't expecting them to be rolled up like they are, but the flexibility is actually a plus when maneuvering these things for placement. And, of course, I knew they'd be something I could cut down to size to fit my steps. The dimensions are 6"x24", and my step widths vary but the depth is consistent as each step is made up of two 1"x 6" boards, making them all 12" inches deep. So yeah, I was gonna have a bit of cutting to due, but it was super easy with a small t-square and a blade. These are adhesive, which...I dunno...for indoors I'd trust it, but for outdoors I kind of feel you need something a bit more robust, so, after I power-washed the steps (I didn't bother with the whole deck again because...no) and let them dry overnight, I came back with my OWN cut sections and went to work. The adhesive IS very strong. Surprisingly strong! As a matter of fact, were my deck in a spot where it got regular doses of sunshine, I think I would have stopped right there as I actually feel it would probably hold just fine! However, I know my deck, and I know...the SLIME...so I doubled down with some brad nails around the edges and then a few down the center of each. Sadly, I ran out before I could do ALL of my steps but I knew this in advance because I'd cut and measured them prior, so I just did the main descending steps from the house, and then the descending steps to the patio, and left the ones that go off to the side yard uncovered for now until I get a good idea as to how these hold up. If they survive a winter with no issue, I'll definitely grab another box as installation and cutting was dead simple, and the product feels like it's good quality and shouldn't tear. It's been a few days and we've had rain and, while the main deck is still slippery, the steps I did cover feel reassuringly good underfoot, with a nice gritty texture that catches your soles and and BARE feet (which I am like 90% of the time). No slippy slideys, and the texture isn't so rough that it bothered my bare feet. For the price, this is a really good value, and people with a NORMAL amount of stairs (my deck was sort of a DIY thing with a lot of additions and bad decisions) should be able to get them all covered with zero issue. Installation is easy, adhesive is surprisingly strong, and, unless you've got the same "zero sun" situation I have, you probably won't have to do any extra fortifying. Recommended!

These stair treads have been a great upgrade for my outdoor steps. The pre-cut 6" x 24" size is convenient because there’s no need to measure and cut a long roll of material, and the 12-pack provides enough pieces to cover multiple stairs at once. The anti-slip surface has a good amount of traction and gives the steps a much more secure feel, especially when they’re wet or conditions are less than ideal. The black color also looks clean and blends in nicely without making the stairs look overly industrial.I’m impressed with the material quality as well. The treads feel durable and are designed to handle outdoor conditions, which is important for something exposed to weather. Installation was straightforward after cleaning and preparing the surface properly, and the adhesive backing makes application quick and simple. These are a practical safety improvement while still looking neat and professional. The pre-cut strips save time, the traction is excellent, and the weather-resistant construction makes them well suited for outdoor use. Definitely a five-star product and a worthwhile upgrade for anyone looking to add extra grip and confidence to their stairs.

I built my porch decades ago, so the wooden steps have worn down significantly and are way too smooth now. I tried sanding them down to bring back some of the natural wood texture and grain to try to make them less slippery. But because the wood is too worn down from years of weathering, I wasn’t able to prevent them from getting slick when it rains with the sanding. So, I ordered these stair treads because they were the perfect size at 2 feet long. And the width is also perfect at 6 inches wide because I didn’t want them to cover the whole step but only the critical part that is close to the ledge. And they seemed super easy to install. When they arrived, I first placed one across a step before attaching it just to make sure I liked where it was positioned and how it looked. The 6-inch width ended up being exactly what I wanted because it covered the area where my foot normally lands. So most of the wood is not hidden. After I wiped the steps down and let them completely dry, I removed the paper from the bottom and pressed each piece firmly into place. It really was that easy to install and I didn’t have to drill or screw anything into the steps. The only time-consuming part was cleaning the steps and letting them dry. After I installed all of them, I walked up and down the porch steps several times and could immediately feel the difference under my shoes. I really wish I had used treads a long time ago. The top has a very rough texture and my shoes gripped much better than they did against the smooth wood. I also like that they don’t cover the back of each step, so most of the wood on the porch steps is not completely covered.I am really happy with how these worked on my old porch steps. Obviously, I can’t say yet how they will hold up after being outside for a full year, but they seem well-made, attached firmly, and added much-needed grip to my old wooden steps. And only $17 for 12 of them is a great deal.

I got these for my mom’s home because she lives alone and I wanted more secure footing on her ramps. She has only a few stairs, but the ramps see regular use and needed added grip. The pre-cut size made planning the placement simple. I used the ramp boards as a guide to keep each strip straight during installation. The peel-and-stick backing made application easy without needing extra tools. After one week, the strips are still holding in place and have added noticeable traction underfoot. The black finish looks clean and blends in well with the ramp surface. I like that the pack includes enough pieces to cover several areas around a home. Long-term adhesive durability is still unknown, especially through changing weather and repeated outdoor use. I would clean and dry the surface carefully before applying them for the best bond. Easy-to-install anti-slip strips that add useful traction to ramps, with long-term durability still to be determined.
