Excellent quality build covers an unsightly hole in the ceiling and protects the wiring. Fit is perfect. I had to cut out a little bit but otherwise it is very easy. Installation is a snap. You just pop it in and you can cover holes cut in the drywall. It looks pretty good with the paint that I have. It could always be painted over but it's close enough where it's not an eyesore and especially is better than the hole that was there before. Good value for the money. It is a quick and easy fix

This 5” ceiling blank was a perfect fit for the hole left in the ceiling after removing the middle hanging light fixture that was part of a 3 light set over the kitchen island. It was easy to install and left a much neater appearance after covering the hole. The material is a good quality metal with a white powder coated finish that covered the hole neatly. Very pleased.

This is your basic round white cover plate. I used it to cover a ceiling light box in my living room that is not being used. It is made of a sturdy metal. It fits perfectly and covers the hole well. It installed without trouble and looks fine.

I ordered this cover because our town's fire department came and upgraded all of the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in our home. But, after they left, we had some old holes with nothing there - and where they did use the old holes, the new devices left gaps and paint rings because they weren't the same size as the devices they removed.I'm so grateful, but they just look ugly. So, I needed a solution that wouldn't require an electrician or a carpenter. I ordered this one cover as a test.I thought something like these might work - at least on the gaping holes. I held this one up to the holes, and quickly realized this would be too much for me.While it covered the gaping hole size-wise, this will have to go on the honey-do list because I cannot deal with the back screw crossbar. And, I can't deal with working over my own head.I also think we need to measure better to get the most margin of error because with one false move to the left or right, the gap reappears. I'm surprised at how different the sizes of these holes are and the difference in the size of the detectors. This does not cover 5" holes and the back cross bar is under 4" long.It works, but measure everything first. The quality of this piece is fine. I would not mind having these plates showing on my ceilings and walls.

This ceiling cover plate worked perfectly for my situation. I recently changed from a single smoke detector / single CO2 detector to a combination unit. This left an uncovered electrical box in the ceiling. I bought so many different brands of covers and NONE of them fit the electrical box holes. On THIS unit, however, the universal attachment bar allows this plate to fit ANY box, and makes installation super simple. I used the existing electrical box screws to attach the universal bar, and then just screwed the plate into the center hole with one of the provided white screws. The color of the plate is slightly different from my ceiling paint color, but that doesn't bother me too much. I may even paint it over one day with the ceiling color. It has a very secure fit and hides such an unsightly hole. The price was right, and it has made a huge difference in our hallway's aesthetic.
