We have a lot of stray cats in our city in Florida and i hope these work and keep us from getting scratched and bit. The humane society here is overwhelmed and can't help. We are on our own for rehabbing these kitty's. Thank you for this product

I used the long gloves while grooming a difficult cat and handling thorny brush, where scratch protection mattered more than fine finger control.The material prevented superficial scratches through the forearm area, the cuffs stayed in place, and the seams did not open during pulling and restraint. Grip was adequate for larger tools and animal-handling tasks.After several handling and shop sessions, the seams and outer material had not split, but I still treated them as handling gloves rather than bite-proof or puncture-proof protection.They were bulky for precision work, and I did not treat them as bite-proof or as universal protection against animals; my rating is limited to coverage, construction, and dexterity. For this job, I would rate it 5/5.

Having a big blue and gold macaw means you need serious hand and arm protection during training and grooming sessions. These extra-long 40 cm scratch-resistant gloves are a total lifesaver. The thick, heavy-duty material easily handles sharp talons and powerful breaks, completely keeping my hands and forearms safe from accidental pinches or deep scratches. I used these gloves for handling and grooming tasks, and they do provide a basic layer of protection. The material feels thick enough to guard against scratches and light bites, making them useful for general handling of pets or animals.However, they are not fully puncture-resistant. Sharp teeth can still get through the material, so they may not offer sufficient protection for more aggressive animals or situations requiring higher safety.Overall, they work for light-duty protection and handling, but expectations should be realistic—they are more scratch-resistant than bite-proof.

I got these gloves because in one of the original pictures, it showed a person trimming their cat's claws. They do not work for that, however, because they are a little thick and bulky especially in the finger area.That being said...For all of the other pictures shown, they would be perfect! The gloves are a great quality - thick, padded leather all the way up to your elbow. So if you're handling wildlife or working with falconry, you are getting a great product. Not sure about brushing the dog's teeth though - the fingers are really hard to move so any kind of dexterity will be troublesome.I would 100% recommend these, and I am glad to have them "just in case" I need them to catch a hawk or something. I'll start snuggling the cat with them now for our next vet appointment.

These are sold as animal handling gloves and I suspect they will do a good job protecting your hands from smaller wild animals. I use these when I'm trimming back foliage with briars in the same area. I have found that regular pruning shears do a good job, but I have to sink my arm halfway into the brambles to get a good cut on the vines. I used to wear a MIG welding glove on one hand, but this pair does an even better job and they protect my arms almost up to my shoulders. They're made of good leather and the stitching is very good. The palms are double covered and the liner is a felt like material that affords good comfort.These are great gloves and great value for the amount of area they protect on your body.

These heavy leather gloves are ideal for handling all kinds of animals wild and domestic. The thick no-slip leather outer is an adequate barrier from teeth and claws. The inner cotton is a comfortable fit to bare skin. What I like most is that these gloves reach all the way up to my elbows. the palm, thumb and index finger are covered with an extra layer of leather for added protection. While heavy duty, these gloves are still quite pliable enough for handling most delicate tools and for performing detailed exams. These are also very useful for doing heavy work like cutting up tree branches and clearing heavy brush.

These gloves are great for anything you need extra protection for. While the title lists them as for animal handling, I’m using them as gardening gloves and specifically for use with my cacti and agaves. Nothing like picking tiny spines out of your skin! The thick material prevented unwanted punctures or anything getting through so it did an admiral job of its essential function. They fit well and feel nice. The color is a bit obnoxious but they do the job intended. Good value for the current purchase price.
