This is a really handy nut driver when you're dealing with long threaded bolts or studs that a regular socket simply can't reach. The 18-inch hollow design lets the threaded rod pass through instead of bottoming out, which can save a lot of time on the right job. The free-spinning design works smoothly, and the springback feature makes repetitive fastening quicker and easier. It feels well made without being unnecessarily heavy, and the 1/4-inch hex shank makes it convenient to use with an impact or drill. Definitely one of those specialty tools you may not use every day, but when you need it, it's extremely useful.

This is a very niche tool with limited day to day application, but if that specifically applies to your job, my gripe is that this tool is nearly double the price of the nearest similar competitor. I can’t tell if the features of this one are enough to justify the price premium. No magnetic parts in the head, the small ball bearings hold the lag in place until you are ready to drive it. We used this tool in both deck building and driving lags for rafter securement, and for that it does the job well and fits the 9/16” standard correctly. Super easy to use in any 1/4” drill. A nice durable tool, but not worth the price premium for a specialty tool.

This impact nut driver is well made and it fits my 1/4" impact perfectly. The long hollow shaft is perfect for installing nuts on a long threaded bolt. The socket holds onto the nut with its built in detent (preventing your from accidentally dropping it) and allows for easy starting of the nut/bolt in tough to reach places. The socket is also a radius corner design which transfers the force from tightening and loosening the nuts/bolts from the corners of the fasteners to the flats which helps prevent stripping/rounding the fasteners. The green part of the socket spins free and pulls back a bit which is meant to dampen the blows of the impact and transfer less vibration to your hands which allows you to maintain a steady grip on the socket. This socket is high quality and coated with black manganese phosphate for maximum rust resistance and long term durability. I am really impressed with this socket and I think it is worth every penny. I have a few long eye bolts that I have to install on a piece of equipment that you cannot reach without a long hollow shaft nut driver like this one, in the right place this tool will pay for itself many times over. You'll probably not use this particular tool very often but if you work around a lot of threaded rods 9/16" nuts this will greatly assist in tightening/removing the nut saving you time.It's expensive due to the details, not only does it look nice with the aluminum shell buts it's built in ball detent helps keep nuts from falling out, there is a built in spring mechanism which absorbs impact and the whole outside shell free spins.It is size specific which would have been nice to have a way to swap out socket? For the price unless you work a lot with long bolts or threaded rods you might just suck it up and use your regular wrench (space permitting)

This thing is a beast. It feels extremely well-made, solid in the hand, and very capable of handling the kind of work it’s designed for. I don’t have a ton of SK tools, but the ones I do own have always been high quality, and this continues that trend.The long 24‑inch hollow shaft is perfect for reaching down onto long bolts, and the free‑spinning design makes it much easier to run hardware down quickly. It’s clearly built for efficiency in repetitive tasks.That said, it’s also a very specific tool. Being locked into a single 9/16" size limits its versatility quite a bit. I really wish the socket head was swappable so you could use it across multiple sizes — that would make it far more useful and justify the cost better.And speaking of cost — it’s definitely on the expensive side. If you’re using it regularly for assembly work with 9/16 hardware, it probably makes sense. If not, it might be hard to justify for occasional use.Bottom line (Would I recommend it?)Yes — for the right user. If you frequently work with 9/16 hardware, this is a high‑quality, efficient tool that will serve you well. If you’re a casual user, it’s probably overkill given the price and single‑size limitation.
