Wood Slat Acoustic Wall Panels for Room Decor and Noise Reduction

I ordered these for our fixer upper. I am not sure yet exactly where we will use them, but I thought they looked really cool and wanted to have them on hand. They arrived in a timely manner, though the shipping box had a ding in it, which resulted in one of the six panels being damaged. That part is on the shipping, not really the product itself. This was a free product for me through vine for this review. In a normal purchase I would reach out to the seller to make it good and I feel that they most likely would.The look of these panels is really nice, and the weight feels perfect for hanging on a wall. It comes with everything you need to install them except the construction glue, so just plan to pick that up separately. Overall, nice quality, just wish the box had arrived in better shape.

I was originally going to try making my own with a solid wool backer board and real wood slats, but came across these and thought I'd try them first. The 3D texture on the fake wooden slats is pretty convincing from normal distances. They feel durable, and are easy to cut however you need to. I used woodworking machines (radial arm saw) for cutting the panels down to the lengths I need, and it worked well. I built a thin backer board that I attached them to, and made a wooden frame so I have a wall hanging acoustic panel. I have it hanging on my office wall behind my monitors, and it helps cut down on the echo/reverb when I'm on meetings and presentations. So far I've been happy with these enough to not make my own. They seem to work well

This is a set of 6 pieces of wall panels from ZThrgran. They are made of polyester fibers with a wood grain finish. I chose mine in walnut. These panels have two layers created by slats with space for the black soundproofing material to show through. This allows for better sound proofing, echoing reduction but also a more three dimension to the room.These panels measure 94'5" x 7.9" . That is almost 8 feet long. It comes with screws- a lot of them. You should have plenty to complete the installation.Caution: The package they come in is very long. It is not overly heavy but awkward. I would suggest it be brought into your home by two people. The same with the installation. The package was so well sealed, it took a few minutes to open it. I was afraid of scratching them when I used the knife but there wasn't a scratch or break on any of the panelsThe enclosed instruction sheets, had to have been designed by someone who has always struggled with instructions. These are probably the best visual, readable and easy to understand instructions I have ever seen. Kudos to that person or persons. I think they deserve the five stars just on those instructions.I opted to use construction glue to put these up and then followed it up with the screws for security. I think both made it even easier to install. To cut the panels you will need a saw or just a utility knife. Of course you provide the glue, if you decide to use it, and the tools.My boys finished the job really quickly. It looks great and it does muffle sound of their gaming. This was a win for us on every level. If you think these slats would work for you, go for it. For me they were just perfect.For the quality, size, and ease of installation, I think the monetary value is exactly where it should be.
