This drain cover appears to be the exact replacement of our old shower drain cover in our master bath. Our previous cover started to stain and corrode. The corrosion and wear created a sharp edge that could cut your toes or feet, so it was time to replace it.This was a very simple drain cover swap for me. The old one popped right out with a flat blade screw driver. I placed a light ring of caulk around the drain, and the new cover snapped right into place. It took less than 5 minutes.The cover is a nice quality. The tension/hold-down tabs are correctly placed, and could likely hold the cover in place without caulk if necessary.I measured before I ordered, and the listing measurements are correct. Double check before you order, it is a 4-1/4 inch diameter.

Take a look at the before and after pictures. What is left to say?That won't stop me. Despite my best efforts to clean the old drain cover, it is disgusting. The new one is bright, shiny, and . . . new. Basically, a 30 second makeover for my shower.My only complaint is that it wobbles slightly. I don't understand why, since it appears to be exactly the same size as the old, pathogenic one. Still, it is a small price to pay to have a little mirror underfoot in the shower.Am I complaining? Well, slightly. Do I care? Not much. I'm just happy to have something shiny and new underfoot.

This snap-on drain cover is the easiest upgrade I have done for our bathroom.Recently we painted and changed our faucets and hardware to brushed gold, so definitely the drain cover needed replacement although I had not thought about it until I came across this one.Removing the old one and installing this one was a piece of cake, and all it took was a flat head screw driver to pry the old one and about two minutes of my time. And since this one was the exact size of our old chrome one, all that was needed was to place it above the drain pipe and a firm tap to get it secured.All in all, for the ease of install and the cheap price, I’d say this is definitely a good option to change the look of your shower setup.

I used this shower drain to replace a 20 year old crusty one. This one dropped into place easily and was of higher quality.Shower seems to drain faster compared to last shower drained.I would recommend it if you needed a cheap and quick fix compared to purchasing from big box stores.The nickel finish matches the hardware within the shower stall as well.

Having just replaced the chrome trim kit on my 30 year old shower, I decided the old plastic drain cover needed an update as well. This drain cover feels quite sturdy and looks quite nice. When dropped it into place, it seemed a just little loose, and it is a little bit thinner than the old plastic one; but after a week of use, I really haven't noticed anything negative. It stays in place and the water drains just fine. It is a good replacement.

This cover has a nice finish that is brushed with a satin look. I ordered it to replace a polished brass cover. This one is slightly thicker and more heavy duty than the one it is replacing. It looks to be of higher quality. I have replaced this drain cover a couple times before with covers purchased from a national chain big box home improvement store. The finish on those covers have not held up. The finish on those replacements have begun to corrode after a year or so. Because this cover looks to be better built than the others and because it has a brushed finish I’m thinking it will hold up better than the others I have purchased before. If I find that it doesn’t hold up well I will update this review. Based on the build quality, I would consider ordering it again.

The idea is great - no screws, easy install and removal of this universal drain cover, but please check the measurement of your inside drain pipe and not just the diameter of your shower drain so you're not disappointed.The shower drain cover appears to be made of good quality materials, with the metal being thicker than my current shower drain cover. The issue I ran into is that the inside drain pipe is smaller than the snap in tabs of this cover, so while it matches my outside dimensions, it does not match the inside pipe dimensions and therefore I was unable to install it.A suggested improvement might be if the 4 tab pieces that snap into the drain pipe were somehow adjustable, possibly using a spring like mechanism to allow multiple pipe size fitments?I paid approximately $15 for this shower drain cover and that offers a good value, if the product fits your shower drain. Overall based on my experience I rate this item 3 stars.

I was nervous about ordering this that for some reason it would not fit properly, but I measured our shower drain opening and being that it was 4-1/4-inches, I ordered it. It fits perfectly and is a huge improvement over the junk that was used by the builder of our house. What had me worried was that our old drain cover used two screws to hold it in place while this nicer one doesn't have screws at all. But it simply sits in the recessed part of the opening and does not shift around while being stepped on. So it looks and fits great! But what my husband loves about it is that he doesn't have to go to the garage and get a screwdriver every time he wants to clean out the hair and gunk that eventually build up making the shower slow to drain. Now he can pop the cover off without tools and because of this our drain hole will be cleaned much more frequently and easily. Looks sharp and the price is right! Nice!
