I wouldn’t use it to replace my carbon block filter, but it is an excellent replacement for my prefilter.

First time I’ve used a 5 micron carbon filter in our home water system. Installed the same as our previous filters but the black filter media was new to me. At first there was some cloudiness in the water but it flushed through quickly. I didn’t notice any reduction in water pressure (which was my fear). We are on a well that typically has high iron content that gives our water a slight taste. The carbon filter does seem to reduce the iron particles improve the taste of our well water. So far I’m impressed with the results. Great value for the improvement realized.
