My husband and I really like the look of this knife, and we find it to be rather stylish and durable in appearance.It's a good weight, slightly heavier and bulkier than many pocket knives but heavy enough to feel good in your handThe size is nice and short and easy to carry around. The blade is thick and so you can use it on harder materials. It comes fully oiled up, which helps extend the lifetime of the blade. It came very impressively sharp, cutting paper like butter. It's super easy to use. The locking mechanism is simple and effective; it sometimes pokes itself outside the frame it's supposed to be sitting in by about a millimeter, but it's not generally a problem. It's a good looking blade that should last a long time and very good value for the $12.99 it costs at time of review.

I wanted a dependable folding knife to keep with my camping and outdoor gear because I am always finding little jobs where having a sharp compact knife nearby comes in handy. I also liked the look of the blue and black wooden handle because it gives the knife more character than a basic utility knife. After getting it in hand I was impressed with how solid and well made it feels.This is a great value for the price. The knife comes with a Damascus style folding blade a blue and black wooden handle and a leather sheath for carrying and protecting it when not in use. The blade is sharp and the folding design makes it convenient to store in a pocket pack or gear bag. The wooden handle feels comfortable in the hand and the leather sheath adds a nice finishing touch while also making the knife easy to keep organized with camping hunting fishing or survival equipment.One of my favorite things about this knife is that it combines a useful everyday design with a really attractive appearance. It feels like something that can be used regularly while still looking nice enough to give as a gift. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a compact well made folding knife for outdoor activities camping or general everyday use!

Surprisingly this night and its appearance comes off as a little overtly flashy. Not that it's a bad thing, but it kinda drives off the illusion that this knife is made with average level quality. The handle is nothing to be impressed about, made of a basic wood with some varnish on it. The knife itself has a lot of divots inside. A little too deep than I would normally expect from Damascus knives, which could lead to the potential issues of rust or something getting stuck in between down the line. The knife itself comes in at a few notches below a razor blade out-of-the-box. It has some sharpness to it but you're not gonna be using it until you get a sharpening stone.The design though is impressive. It's got a stark contrast of blue mixing with black with gold borderline between the two colors and the the mask is really sticks out once it's visible. The sheet that comes in with is a little bit on the cheaper end, but it does a good job in holding the knife.Overall it's a nice gift to give to somebody who wants something pretty but not too serious of a knife

Hunting Hunts Damascus Pocket Folding Knife with Blue & Black Wooden Handle & Leather Sheath – Handmade Sharp EDC Knife for Camping, Hunting, Fishing & Outdoor Survival (HH-FK-001)—Since joining the Vine Voices program, I've had my eye out for a pocket knife. Long ago, I had a classic Swiss Army knife; no idea what happened to it. Pocket knives are all-around useful items and probably qualify as the original EDC item.I have some mixed feelings about this knife. For a knife with a small (3 inch) blade, it's pretty heavy and bulky. The blade is unusually thick. I don't know if that is a necessary feature for Damascus steel—perhaps the process of folding the different colors of steel together requires that the resulting blade be extra thick, but I don't know if that's true. I like that it has a sharp point, so it can be used to start a hole as well as slice. Despite its thickness, it has a single blade. At first I thought there was another blade or tool on the back side, but discovered that it was a locking mechanism to prevent accidental closure.The Hunting Hunts Damascus pocket knife is a showy knife. The "Damascus" steel is cool with it's water-like wavy patterns in the steel, although I don't think it adds anything in terms of sharpness of strength. The handle is also good-looking with inlaid wood, including a middle blue colored panel (there's also a red version).I was happy to see that the included sheath is real leather. It's pretty basic, but has a brass snap and two brass rivets on the belt loop. The loop isn't openable—it only works by sliding over a belt. I would prefer a clip or a loop with a snap because I don't wear belts very often. The snap is kind of funny for such a masculine knife: it has "Fashion, Fashion, Fashion" engraved in a ring around a 5-pointed star. The star has cryptic figures in each arm and the center.The knife blade comes in a not-very-sharp condition. The oil in the packing bag didn't bother me so much. I imagine it's to prevent temperature and humidity stresses on the trip from China causing the wood to dry out or rot and the knife's opening/closing mechanism from freezing up (but apparently not to preserve the sharpness of the edge). The knife's inner bag was full of oil, but it also had several other layers of wrapping that prevented the oil from seeping out. I didn't have a lingering gasoline odor like someone else mentioned—I am very sensitive to the smell of solvents but found this oil washed away easily with my usual Castile soap.Another reviewer had trouble closing the knife. I think the problem may be that they hadn't noticed the release lever. To close the knife, you depress the metal bar in the opening on the spine part of the knife and that releases the closure mechanism. Make sure your fingers aren't in the way if you push on the blade at the same time! As I mentioned earlier, at first, I mistook the locking mechanism for an additional blade or tool located behind the knife. It's apparent that some instructions would be helpful to include in the packaging.As several others have commented, it's easy to give this pocket knife a good rating given it's low price. It is currently selling for $11. The other Damascus steel pocket knives I see will set you back at least $25 and potentially much more. Better quality knives of course cost more. But with a good sharpening, this knife should serve as a basic pocket knife. I wouldn't rely on it for serious survival or hunting use, however. It seems to be more for showing off than for practical use. It would be a good gift for a teen or 20-something or someone who enjoys fun-looking knives. It comes in an attractive cardboard box that in addition to describing the knife is mysteriously labeled "Gift: Customizable" with a drawing of a present.

For the price this is an exceptional knife. It looks stunning and truly is remarkable to look at. You could easily mistake this for a higher end knife than it is by simply looking at the knife. This knife was packaged extremely well too. It was incased in plastic and wrapped. I really like the color of the wood and dark blade with a design in it. The fact you get a sheath with the knife is a bonus. It is really a beautiful knife. One might wonder why I marked it four out of five stars and there are several reasons though. This is nit picking but an honest review. If I am only basing this off price alone it is five stars all day; however, there are some issues with the knife. First, the knife was covered in oil. I am assuming it was intentional to aid in the functionality of the mechanism of the knife opening and closing. It was easily wiped away with a paper towel so no big deal. Since I am on the topic though the locking mechanism is a bit challenging to open but not to difficult to be impossible or take more than a second or two longer than a buck knife or similar knife. I guess, third, the handle does not line up perfectly and there is a small gap between the wood and metal on one of the sides of the knife but no one and I mean no one would ever see it because it is very tiny but I noticed it. Overall, this is a great knife for the price and I think it will function smoothly after some use. The knife fits comfortably in my hand and has grooves for my fingers while I am holding it to make it more secure feeling than some higher quality knives I have. I got this for work primarily but it may become my everyday carry knife since it is much nicer than I thought it would be. I also am trying to break it in. I did not want to carry around a really expensive knife with me to work incase I damage it or lose it. I may order another because I am impressed with this knife. It is similar to a buck knife but no where near the same level of quality... still good though with a much lower price tag.

This knife came wrapped in commercial plastic wrap, and absolutely soaked and grease. It smelled like an auto body shop, and there was so much grease in the knife that all the layers of plastic were disgusting to touch. My hands smelled like gasoline for the whole day. I washed it twice with dish soap and dried it and it’s been a whole day now, but it’s still pretty much greasy. When I open the knife, black grease comes out of all the hinges. Grease aside, the knife is not terrible for the money. Mine has a place where the sharpening was over-corrected and there’s like a crack in the sharpened part of the blade, but I don’t use a pocket knife for detail work, just to cut zip ties and things. I think this is a pretty good pocket knife for daily carrying once you get all the grease off and the pattern on the blade is fun and so is the color on the handle, but it’s not really a fine quality, collectors knife. This is the kind of thing that’s fun and has personality but you don’t cry about at the airport when you forgot it and have to have it taken away by the TSA. It does come with a leather case, but again not a high-quality one. My husband‘s pocket knife gets used mostly for weird stuff like digging a nail out of a shoe, so this is probably the appropriate quality for that kind of daily carry.
