We're currently replacing the deck at our seasonal lake camp, and as part of the project we've decided to install cable railings. We'll be using 1/8-inch stainless cable with standard powder-coated 2x2 metal posts. Before committing to the full build, we purchased a few sample posts and railing components to make sure this was the look and system we wanted. These Gdlpengru rubber grommets fit the sample posts very well. They install easily with a firm push and seat securely in the hole. Once installed, they're not going anywhere. They fit tightly enough to stay in place, but they're still flexible enough to pop in without a struggle. The quality of the rubber appears very good. The material feels dense and durable, with no visible molding seams, imperfections, or thin spots. They have enough rigidity to hold their shape while still providing the flexibility needed for installation.Since we'll be using 1/8-inch cable, I have no reason to doubt that these will do an excellent job protecting the cable from rubbing against the edges of the metal posts. Preventing metal-to-metal contact is exactly what these are designed for, and they appear more than capable of handling that task.To be fair, this pack of 50 is really a backup purchase for us because most of the cable railing kits we're considering already include grommets. That said, it's always nice to have extras on hand. If a few get damaged during installation or don't look quite as clean as we'd like, having replacements readily available means the project won't come to a halt over a missing or damaged grommet.Overall, these are simple components, but they're well-made, fit properly, and appear durable enough for long-term outdoor use. If you're installing a cable railing system and need replacement or spare grommets, these are a solid choice.

These cable railing grommets fit securely and help give the finished project a much cleaner, more professional appearance. The rubber is flexible enough to install without much trouble but firm enough to stay in place once inserted. They also do a good job protecting the cable from rubbing against the metal.I’m giving them four stars because a few of the grommets had slight molding imperfections around the edges. They still worked fine, but the quality wasn’t perfectly consistent across the entire pack.Overall, they do exactly what they’re supposed to do and are a great option for protecting cable railings while giving them a clean, finished look.

This review is for Gdlpengru brand Cable Railing Rubber Grommets 50 Pack Protective Sleeves for 1/8 5/32 3/16 Inch Stainless Steel Cables Anti Electrolysis Wire Flange Grommet for Outdoor Metal Posts (50).The pack of 50 rubber grommets was delivered on-time, complete and as described by the seller. The grommets are uniform in size and shape and appear to be of good quality. I am using the grommets to install cables for low voltage landscape lighting inside an aluminum fence structure. The grommets fit in a 3/8” hole drilled in the aluminum fence post; two 14 AWG cables pass through the center hole of the grommet and are protected from contact with any rough metallic surface. These grommets are neatly split such that they can be slipped over the cable after the electrical connection has been made. They meet my project needs and provide a good seal for protection of the cable itself and to reduce water ingress and insect access inside the fence posts.

The 50-pack of Cable Railing Rubber Grommets for a railing project, and they performed as expected. The grommets fit well and provide the necessary protection for cables passing through metal surfaces. There’s nothing particularly special about these grommets. They do their job, but the material feels a bit thin and basic. I didn’t notice any major defects, but there’s also nothing that stands out in terms of quality or features.Overall, if you need a simple, no-frills solution for cable railing, these grommets are sufficient. Just don’t expect anything beyond basic functionality.

These cable railing rubber grommets are one of those small accessories that make a big difference in the finished project. They fit nicely around the cable openings, giving the railing a cleaner, more professional appearance while helping protect the stainless steel cables from rubbing against the metal posts. The material feels durable and flexible, making installation quick and easy. With 50 grommets included, there are plenty for larger projects or to keep a few extras on hand. They’re well made, fit consistently, and help reduce wear while providing a finished look that really improves the overall appearance of the railing system. If you’re installing or upgrading a cable railing, these are an inexpensive addition that’s absolutely worth including. Highly recommended!

We are replacing our deck and will be using cable railing to improve our view. I’ve been shopping and comparing pieces vs. kits and compiling a list of what I would need to DIY a cable railing system. These Gdlpengru brand rubber grommets fit into standard 2x2 metal posts very well—tight, but easy enough to pop in. Once in, they are in no danger of popping out. I have tried them with only one brand of post, however, there’s nothing that would make them unworkable for another similar post. The quality of the rubber seems dense and very good—there are no visible seams and no weak spots. They are rigid, but flexible enough to compress slightly to insert in the posts.I’m using 1/8” cable and it fits into these grommets perfectly. I have no reason to doubt that they will do a great job protecting the cable wire from rubbing against the hole in the metal post. These seem a little on the pricey side for what they are. A pack of 50 doesn’t go far when each post takes 20 of them. However, they seem comparable in price to most other rubber grommets of this nature.
